Or simple nanohives are good enough? I'm undecided between Sidearm Upgrade (-5% CPU) or Nanocircuitry (-5% CPU, better nanohives). My dropsuit needs a bit more CPU so I'm trying to reduce CPU of things at cheap SP. |

Nano circuitry not only unlocks access to better hives, but also better injectors. If you plan on picking people up with an injector on an assault suit and not repairing, better injectors would help keep them alive longer once theyre up.There are also many different types of nanohives, allowing diversity and flexibility depending on what you need your equipment to do.
Sidearm upgrade... Well, that's sidearm upgrade. |

the choice here is simple... nanocircuitry well between them atleast. if your hurting for cpu sidearm upgrade isn't that great unless your sporting a proto one which i don't see much of. the skill circuitry add more base cpu to all fits so not bad on making the most out of cheap/free fits. |

Sidearm upgrade is almost pointless unless the sidearm in question is REALLY cpu heavy, and most of them aren't. Get something else. |

Do you already have Circuitry to level 5? If not do that, since it is 5% increase to your total CPU. The 5% reduction you'll get for nanocircuitry or sidearm isn't going to be that much.
If you do already have that at 5 though, then I suppose it really depends on what type of player you are. I run a type 2 scout suit that only gets one weapon slot, but instead of equipping an assault rifle or shotgun I equip a pistol since it has much less of a CPU/PG drain. So for me upgrading sidearms is pretty important. If you don't rely on a sidearm much however, go with nanocircuitry. Some of the nanohives you get are very different from your basic one.
EDIT: Oh wait, we're talking about that sidearm upgrade skill that only does 5% reduction to sidearm CPU and doesn't give you access to anything else? Yeah, that skill is near pointless as stated above. |

If you're basic assault multiply the thousands of clones that could have had the following for almost nothing in SP: Grenade 1 to carry 3 grenades Nanohive 2 to carry 3 hives

If you don't have circuitry at level 5, that should be a priority. The next biggest is light/heavy weapon upgrade. The skill that gives shield extenders is also good if you use extenders.

Nanocircuitry 5 is for the revive and resupply logistics specialists. It's what I'm currently saving my SP to get. |
