EVE online: bigger ships require older pilots and thus put folks in tiers. A newbie can be excellent in the important newbie business (eg. Tackling and escalating fights, scouting), an oldbie has the choise of excelling in oldbie roles (eg. Capital warfare).
Dust: a newbie can deploy drop uplinks almost as efficiently as a vet. There is no higher tier yet (roles that take years to get to).
I think it would be good for the game to bring advanced roles in and make tiers of gameplay. Eg. MCC piloting, which would take a year to run properly. Multiple MCC's on the large district shooting it out, scrambler batteries on ground for the newbies to operate in order to tackle the shiny MCCs for the gank...
Any ideas for dust gameplay tiers and different age roles? |

Any ideas for dust gameplay tiers and different age roles? vehicle roles are generally dominated by vets due to the fact that we have more sp in the support skills to make vehicles really effective, plus vets have more sp in different roles making them more adaptable. |

this game would not survive if it took years to gain certain abilities. it should take at most a month for certain things. eve survives because it can run on 500,000 subscribers. if that was the case for Dust it would only survive a few month to a year. let just say we have 1 mill players in dust. 500,000 players actually play on a constant basis, and only 200,000 are active in player made corps. if we lose anymore players Dust will never become what it has potential to be
