You've ruined them, fair enough they had too much range but now their useless, in the time it takes to charge up the "assault" Forge Gun, everyother weapon has killed you, or they simply strafe making a direct hit impossible nearly, they need the range to be a viable weapon or at least take a second of the charge up time.
Also don't mean to sound like a douche but seriously how are you mean to kill someone with a gun that takes longer to charge up and to line up a hit than it takes them to kill a heavy, it has almsot no splash radius so a miss is a miss which or the forge gun= dead user, I want a refund on the points I wasted on forge guns please :P |

Are you trolling? Or do you honestly NOT realize that the forge gun is primarily an anti-vehicle weapon? |

Being genuine, I understand its more an AV than troop killer but for a weapon that needs weaopnary lvl 5 to even begin learning why have I wasted points when I can use the militia one?
All I'm saying the Assault variants at least should have quicker charge time and do less damage and be an anti-personel variant for the forge gun |

I take your point. Figured it would be good if the forge gun had at least a 2-meter splash, for when you shot at their feet. Essentially a weapon to break up grouped AR firing squads.
But then again, the mass driver fills this role.
Idk man, that's a bit of a dilemma right there. |

Why haven't you Skilled up Scrambler pistols or SMG?
Either of them solve more encounters than they don't. Head shots with a Burst will take down almost any Merc and most of the Hop Happy Scouts think you are already dead and just walk up to you.
And why the complaint on the Assault Forge Gun? Every over version requires more charge time. I get many kills on attackers by straffing and holding them in the target circle. 2.5 seconds later they are seriously rethinking their critical decision making abilities.
Edit: Oops, forgot to mention that they are an Anti-Installation weapon as well.
Lone Heavies survive much less than those in a Squad or one that has a Logi Bro for support. |
