Of course I have two +5% heavy damage mods, a 3hp/sec rep, packed AV, and an SMG to go with it, but I can still get them to run if I have a good firing position.
I agree, I very enjoy my specialized forge gunner as well. The tanks cannot escape in ambush maps and I have chased tanks back into hiding on the skirmish maps. I do not mind them going back in safety on the redline as I have succeeded and kept it away from the battlefield. I once chased a tank across the redline in a suicide attempt to kill it, I did not get to destroy the tank before I died but the tank fled way back and did not come back the rest of the skirmish 
It is not always a success, a skilled tanker is a powerful opponent, and in some maps there are lots of hiding places for the tanks which makes it difficult to hunt and stay alive.
If you are focused on your kill/death ratio, this is not recommended, I do personally not care about the kill/death ratio. My goal is to make sure we win the encounter.
Use the supply depots to change into AV suits if HAVS and LAVS are roaming the map and change back when it is safer for infantry. |
