I'm not asking for player names (except maybe in rare cases as prizes) because those would add a huge hassle to CCP trying to police all of the inappropriate names.
I would just like to see a quick random-table kind of system based on the faction that settled the planet.
For instance on a Gallente planet you might have "Rouvenor Falls", "Freedom Junction", "Cougar Town", "Whisky Station", etc.
The Caldari might have "Enterprise Ridge", "Profit Corners", "Site 2342", "Lai Dai Springs", and the like.
An Amarr world might sport "Righteous Hill", "Sacred Haven", "Penitent Point", "Jamyl Bay", etc.
A Minmatar planet could have "Thukker Roads", "Liberty Plains", "Duct Tape Shrine", "Rusty Gulch", and so on.
This shouldn't be a major undertaking. I expect that a dev could rig up the randomizer system in a day, then people could just drop ideas in a box for awhile to populate the tables. |

I like it all save for the exclusion of players not being able to name their districts. I understand that this brings up the issue of fighting for "**** N Butt Gorge", but then again after taking "**** N Butt Gorge" the new owners can rename it. In Eve you can swear all youd like without being censored and I dont know that censorship should be the name of the game here.
Personally I would like this if for no other reason then to see the GOON's take a District and name it after Vile Rat. I am not a fan of the GOON's, nor did I ever meet Vile Rat, but it would be a district that if me and mine ever took, would stay the same name. |

CCP should definitely name something after Vile Rat. |
