At least they're consistent in their poor design...
CCP this is an FPS. Right or wrong, people care about their stats, especially KDR. Many corps have a KDR requirement. If this isn't fixed by the 14th, you're going to have new players simply leaving the game because their KDR doesn't update. Not to mention the laughable reviews you'll get from critics when a First Person Shooter game doesn't even track your kills and deaths. |

My suggestion is that every time the player kills someone, you increase the variable holding their kills by one, but I'm not an expert.
If they can fix it without having to reset anything, that would probably be preferable to vast majority because some players spent a lot of time so they could be at the top of the board.
I still think they should have been clear that they were going to clear it the day Dust released because new players are going to see "#1--70,000 kills" or whatever the number is now and just think "screw it, I'm out". People care about stats and CCP doesn't seem to realize that. |

My understanding is that they don't intend to recover the stats from broken skirmishes, leaving anyone playing that game mode at a disadvantage. Pre-bug, many players spent a lot of time to be at the top of the leaderboard and only lost their position due to this error.
Yea I don't think they'll be recovering the data. The point is, though, that everyone would lose all their kills as opposed to only being a few thousand behind if CCP just fixes the bug and leaves the leaderboard alone.
The people who have spent a long time playing ambush and skirmish (back when it worked) to hit 70,000 kills are going to lose all that work. The people who were already high up are just a few thousand kills behind now...they can make that up once the bug is fixed. How is someone who spent months playing a lot getting 50,000+ kills going to feel when it's all wiped away just because some people didn't want to be a few thousand kills behind?
I'm not even one of those people; I have something like 10,000 kills and I played almost entirely skirmish even knowing the stats were broken, but the people who do care about the leaderboard are the ones who went into Ambush and are the ones they're going to make angry if they reset it. We've known for a while skirmish was broken, so the people who really cared about it probably would have gone into Ambush anyway, in which case they shouldn't be too far behind. |

Not sure why this is on the 8th page, because it's still broken. I can't believe CCP can't fix something as simple as how many kills and deaths you have. This is laughable and pathetic. |
