They did something like this last year on Playstation home and it was free. Yes, it wasn't that encompassing and more focused on Dust 514. But was still free, I even have the t-shirt.
This is a great advertising opportunity so why charge people money to virtually attend? It should be free to attend, as Dust 514 is free to play, and if you want to spend money on memorabilia that is fine. |

Well I had to add it in later but there is a Free Live Stream Low Definition so I strongly believe that should still be available. HD streams unless sony pays for the entire bandwidth should be still a ticketed service. |

CCP better be rolling out the red carpet for Dust514 players.
I'll be there, taking notes.

So I come from a different game background, a blizzard one. They do the same thing for the fans who do not buy tickets or can not make it to the blizzcon. They provide gear and such to the people in attendance and as well those who viewed online. PPV etc. But since this game is new and is reaching out to players not familiar to EVE, New Eden. It would not be a great value to some to most of the people playing DUST 514. They do not have that connection to the world yet. However, allowing gamers to view the fan fest via live feed could and may even attract their attention to how big and important this really is. Help us, the ones who are not familiar with eve, get a better understanding of the world. Do not charge, or at least have some parts of the event to be shown live at no cost. |

I will state again they wind up HD on youtube broken down into bite size chunks and they did provide a free low res edition last year. |

It definitely would be worth watching. It definitely would be worth paying for too if the perks were just right. I would just say they should limit the access to those who can not pay. I would much rather see the ones who are strong supporters of CCP be rewarded for their loyalty. Getting to watch such an event life would be great anyway. Have a live cam walking around, like the google map truck you see once every few years. Walking around the building making you feel like you were really there. |

I wouldn't want to see the freebies locked out though... they're part of this too I mean if a free player recruits a paying player then more power to them as well, so LD free for everyone! |

SInce they will probably have a few free HD high profile Dust specific virtual events anyway I see no problem with charging extra for HD virtual attendance and having free low res streams.
Perhaps they could also add a room or two to the Playstation Home partybarge... |

Yeah, nobody cares about this part. Leave the roleplaying to your roleplaying threads, Iron.

Not role play, I threw it to these guys who'd normally would tear my ideas apart usually and well this one didn't so its here on the forums now mostly unmolested. |

How about something to allow the web viewers to interact with the event? Perhaps fanfest mercenary game. Have an urban map that looks like the area where the event is being held at. I cant really think of anything else to go along with being able to interact. It's the only thing that popped into my mind. |

Like a twitter feed? ... hmm. would like to see what everyone else thinks about that or segments where they pull questions off the twitter feeds? |

A twitter feed is a given, maybe go something a bit further than that? In game or have viewers vote on subjects on how events should unfold? |

The only one I can see that being cheaply done with is ask the developers, ask the seated csm, and art time. Of course all the comedy drinking events however... that may not be in this year after last year's incident. |

Updated the OP we wee bit and bringing this back up.
As for dev replies to the entire subject its still in the air and basically "Watch the fanfest page for updates" was all that can or could be said. |
