i don't really hate either....
its weird i don't mind long range snipers
and afk people just mean more kills for me (as a sniper)
im a terrible person and i should fell bad but deal with it
if you are not willing to adapt to the game and use questionable tactics then you will get eaten alive and chewed on until you either join us or quit since i hate to say it
the name of the game is winning and that's what i plan to do
(but if the team is pushed past read line the sniping is not really the best thing to do) |

As much as i hate it when 70%+ of my team is sat RLSing, at least their kills count, the AFKer is worse as their only contribution is to a loss. |

I frequently top the leaderboard while "redline sniping."
Keep running toward the same objectives dying like a lemming while us "noobs" support your mediocre abilities while going 25-0. You take skilled snipers for granted, and for that, you bring me much shame.

Redline snipers by and large are worse than AFKers. I can understand AFKers and their desire to earn the SP....and since CCP decided not to reward good play with better SP I can forgive this since CCP rewards time in game more than good play.
Some snipers are good dont get me wrong but by and large they are mostly worthless. Not only do they not help get objectives most of them dont even postion themselves to defend an objective when its being capped. I dont understand how you can have fun hiding behind the red line and getting only a few kills per match. |

Redline snipers contribute to the game in some way... and it is only hit mechanics and glitches that prevent counter-sniping.
AFKers don't do ****-all, and waste space in your team that someone useful could fill.
So.... hate the AFKers the most. |

I don't hate them at all. Hate is unproductive and keeps you from growing as an enlightened individual. Instead I see them as an opportunity to learn something.
Lesson 1.)
Red line snipers, drive an LAV at them and bail at the last second until they realize that the battlefield is safer than being back there with you.
Lesson 2.)
AFK in the MCC, stand next to them in a militia suit and cook off a few grenades. When they don't respawn the game will kick them from battle without SP gain.
Cheap and effective, these tactics take but a few moments of your time. And in trade you and your newly enlightened (or replaced) pal can both get back into the fight and contribute to your glorious victory.

you can always take the recent advice and cook some grenades by them. mass driver works too, if you OHK yourself with MD next to an AFKer it can sometimes kill them also, it's like a 2 out of 5 chance. |

Actually grenades work. I was AFK farming and this dude kills me in the MCC with a cooked grenade. I just respawned in the MCC. In the end I got 10 Balac Gars and 5 Creodon breaches. |

AFKers. Red line sniping is a legitimate, albeit annoying, mechanic. Being able to AFK level and ISK farm is not WAD, and is therefore, in my not so humble opinion, an exploit. |

i like to drop a link in the MCC, kinda centered so it looks like a natural spawn, you'd be surprised at all the spawns i get on it. i stand in front of the link with the second droplink in hand as kinda a warm welcoming sight- a guy holding a droplink- WELCOME TO MY MCC! |

I don't get why people say k/d doesn't matter.
If someone goes 15-0 that means he not only turned a profit, he caused your team to lose money.
K/d does matter, it ties into your profit.
The only redline snipers I don't like are enemy red line snipers- that are good.
They do their job well..
A great sniper will keep an entire platoon from moving on one side, effectively routing the enemy.
That said, AFK farmers are annoying. But when there are 6 of them, I start using them as bait. |
