Granted, they haven't shown any trailers or gameplay images, but if you know those two monstrous companies..they would crush any competition, including Dust 514. I haven't read through much of the forums, but I saw that the CCP were whacking off on vacation, leaving the game in open beta with no updates and that looks bad. It took them 5 years to make Dust 514 and Destiny was only made in a year. Which means, Destiny has a lot of potential to draw away consumers from Dust since it's also a free-to-play model. I haven't read on whether CCP mentioned if they were gonna include graphics update patch, but I know a lot of impatient, ADHD people want a perfect, working game with gorgeous eye-candy graphics for Dust..I do too, but I'm more patient than most are. But not when it comes to overcrowded FPS games dividing audiences, especially of similar genres. It would be nice if somehow CCP have the resources and manpower to update the graphic textures to keep people playing. Then people would complain less and CCP would have a better chance in the market, especially revenues from people paying for AUR. And Destiny would be on equal footing with Dust 514. What are your thoughts?
Actually can't wait to try this game, its supposed to be similar to dust just more developed.
If dust isn't up by ps4 time,
I'll switch, dust is just biding my time atm.
Also if it was done in a year, It took dust a year of closed beta to fix terrible bugs, slowly. |

Cortez The Killer wrote: Thoughts? Well they may produce a shiny FPS, but have no chance of comparing to what Dust has to offer solely on the way Dust interacts with a 10 year old successful MMO. Folks will play this game, I probably will, but traditional FPS games have a short lifespan. People will shoot over on release, but eventually run out of interest when they've prestiged or whatever endgame it is for that game.
What Dust offers to the FPS crowd is an emergent game that is player driven in content and never "won". Some people will play only for the graphics and be drawn off by prettier games. So be it. CCP is banking on what has turned out to be so far correct. Traditional FPS players want more than just a shiny game.
I don't follow your thinking that some shiny shooter will "Blow Dust out of the water."
Player driven content and never won.....
Hmmm year later I'm still looking for this.
You mean like, I play the same map 14 times in a row never won?
But I got first place every time........when will I win???!!! |
