What do you think F.P.S. stands for? I suppose Doom wasn't an FPS because it didn't jump through the hoops required to fit your schema (FYI: Doom was the first ever FPS). Spend the SP from your next battle on the Game Terminology skillbook. If your poor I'll give you the 48000 needed to by it. Training Game History might be useful too. Just sayin'
Well, not quite. The first game that had the staples of FPS (on-foot, first person camera, etc) was Maze War, in 1973, however it was tile based movement. The first 'modern' FPS was Wolfenstein 3D, in 1992. Doom followed after this, made by the same company, obviously.
Perhaps you should spend that SP yourself, before spouting off at the mouth? Especially that 'Game History' one, seems you could really use that. :) |

No, you need to realise that just because it's not COD or BF, doesn't make it not an FPS. It is different to what is on the market, but it is an FPS. First Person Shooter. That is, at it's core, what this game is.
If you wanna talk about elements, I'd call it more MMO FPS with RPG Elements, mself. |

Dust's gameplay is a shooter, in the first-person point-of-view (vehicles the exception, you can toggle the PoV), with some RPG elements (skill point leveling and a market to buy consumables) To say Dust is not a shooter...is to troll... "SHOOTING" MOBA RPG. When the hell i say the Dust 514 isn't a shooter ? How old are you guys ? 10 ?
So wait a minute here, It *is* a shooter, in the First Person perspective, yet it is *not* an FPS??
Well, I fell for the troll, so I will give you 6/10. Was decent, but you showed your hand pretty early. |
