Hi all,
First off before I start, I'd like to thank many of the people who have expressed interest in supporting me as a dust CSM member in the last year that I first announced it. I was honestly quite staggered by all of the support and messages that I received and a special thanks to current CSM member Hans for all of the advice he has given me.
My decision mainly comes from 3 main reasons:
1) I personally don't think dust is ready for a CSM position as it stands, partially because we are still in beta and we don't yet know everything that will be coming on official launch. Its my personal opinion that we should possibly let CCP get a product out there and work on testing before we start, that way we will have a baseline to work from
2) The EVE - dust connection is still very thin right now, as such the EVE players have very little concern for dust bunnies as there are already issues in EVE that need to be worked on and seeing as its EVE players who can vote, its only natural that CSM candidates reprisenting their issues will be their first priority. Im sure this will change when the connection gets deeper and more integrated.
3) Right now, I'm having some quite serious problems in my personal life that have been cutting into the time that i have to play dust entirely, and sadly these problems don't seem like they will be solved particularly soon. I love dust and if I where to go for this position, I would want to give it everything I can which right now I simply can't. I started trying to help in little ways (forum warrioring, creating the wiki, spending a bit of time here and there in various locals helping out newbs) but right now I can't really do any of that what with RL problems and also planning on emigrating to another country.
Next year however things will be very different. Dust will certainly be different and hopefully my life will be in a position where i will have the time to give this role everything it deserves.
I will be at fanfest, so if anyone else who is going wants to chat about anything or even just get a drink, I'd be happy to do so.
Regards,
Jenza

Well Jenza, to be fair and honest, I don't think many people know you. The fact that Betamax is not present in the first Open Beta Tournament also shows lack of interest coming from your camp.
In the IRC you guys stated that you were busy "training" yourselves for zerg deployment. Well, there's no better training than competition, and you guys seem to do your best to avoid competition.
Anyway, good luck in your personal life.
I forgot to mention, the general consensus with trolls replying is going to be "who cares". Just a fair warning. |

Heads up everyone. I have decided not to run for CSM this year. Mainly because I dont want to pay for an Eve account. Just wanted to let you guys all know. I know the sorrow will be great but we will get over this and hopefully I will represent us in the future. |

the Real Dustmercs would like to point out that our blog [not the space included] or dustmercsblog is used to post stories, not insult. imitation is the purest form of flattery, and we appreciate the free advertising, but we have it on good authority that the person berating you is Grezkev of RG or JW v Weingarten of SYN. both of the EON alliance. so now you know who ur enemies are. |

Best of luck to all the candidates!
Would love to have a chat about things at fanfest Jenza, just not sure if you've gotten to the whole "people are more than the tags they wear" thing just yet.
Thanks for letting the Betamax troops finally sign up to be a wildcard for the tournament! I know it means a lot to them. It would have been great if you had let your corp officially in the tournament though. |

Theres a couple things I could quote in here to make my statements a little more clear, but its too much and I dont feel like putting the effort in for it to look right so Ill just keep it general.
I am glad that you are not running for CSM at this time and feel you never should, at least not until you get your priorities straight. At this time you are nothing but a self-serving brat. Everything you do from the wiki work right on down the line is for your own self-glorification. Even when you run in squad with your own corporation you do nothing but use us as meatshields so that we can take your bullets while you take our kills. You tell us to run in a formation to enhance "teamwork," but when out of the four of us youre the only one that went 20-2 and the rest of us went 2-5, it becomes a little obvious whats going on.
On the subject of Betamax. missing from the open beta tourney, it was not supposed to be this way. Jenza was asked personally if we would like to join the tourney and she answered that the corporation had no interest. Being that I am the person who was helping to organize the team for the tourney, I know this to not be true. All the top players of the corp, and then some, were extremely excited to participate in this tourney.
Jenza made a deal with myself, and another corp member, that if we could find 10 people who wanted to participate in the tourney that she would enter us. I easily found these 10 people, notified her (even in game so I know she knew), was told we would be entered, and then never heard anything about it after that. You lied to me Jenza, broke our deal, and broke the corporations trust and loyalty simply because of your own personal feelings against the Imperfects.
Concerning what Betamax. is training for, that would be not a doggone thing. We havent had a corp match at all in probably 2+ weeks and even when we did participate in corp matches the majority of them were against people Ive never even heard of. Not to mention they were only conducted on timeframes that were convenient for Jenza despite the corporation being split fairly 50/50 EU/US.
The bottom line and point of all this is Betamax. and Dust as a whole deserves someone better than you. Someone that will lie to their own corporation is not someone that needs to be helping guide the games future.
Just to be clear at the time this was written I was/am a member of Betamax., since Im sure that will be changing soon and people may wonder why a noobcorper is saying all this stuff. |
