The team I was on was being killed repeatedly by snipers but looking around there are no red enemy markers on the battlefield. I'm assuming if I don't see indicators of where they are, then they can't see indicators of I am. What is going on? How are they to see us before we see them? |

They may have a higher scan than you. And you may be too far away from them to be able to properly scan them. |

Use a scout suit and do a map perimeter run. Kill the enemy snipers that you find. Problem solved?? |

Do the scan modules increase the distance at which you will see the red markers when looking around, or just on the radar? |

The system is not fully understood at this point, but one of the reasons the sniper can see so many chevrons on his HUD is because you're side is being lit up by his squadmates. Every time a red has line of sight on you, the information is made available to the rest of his team. Unless you have a blue dot within scan range of the sniper or looking right at him, he won't be on the radar or have a chevron above him.
I like to paint snipers with my SMG sight for the benefit of my team sometimes. He might be miles out of my range, but I can still point him out for a counter sniper. |

The snipers often don't have a radar-produced chevron on their scanner to see targets, they have a visual. When your sight reticule passes over a visual target you can see a name and healthbar even if the target is out of scan range and/or out of your weapons effective range. It helps alot to have an idea where they like to hide.
At least until we get more maps, playing a sniper yourself is a good way to be able to anticipate likely perches where enemy snipers would be hiding. It has the added benefit of knowing that whomever you just headshotted with a militia rifle is now frothing-at-the-mouth pissed and will probably take out his rage on the forums. |

Its not just snipers either! My scouts scan profile is less than the standard of any suit. It is also less than someone who has profile analysis V even if it is another scout... basically unless someone on your team is looking directly at me... (or using scanning mods... but who actually uses them?) Im not showing up on your radar... ever and in 5 days unless you are double stacking scanning mods ill be even more invisible.
Feels good man feels good.
Snuck up on whole squad last night got rightnup next to the proto assault boink boink dead assault... and friends.
This of course leads to even more fun wih snipers... who rarely look at the radar anyway.

I often kill people that my suit dose not register. All I see is your pixels. I killed a sniper on the other side of the map once who was so far away he only showed as a single pixel, which was completely obscured by the single pixel spot at the centre of my scope that I use to target with. The fact I got a head shot was totally luck.
If a hill has a pimple on it that was not there a minute ago, it is probably a sniper. |

And if everyone could see the sniper then your screwed because then another sniper could line up the shot or a simple scout suit person could climb the ladder and make sniper bacon.

Not to mention there is a terrain rendering problem that makes snipers invisible yet they can shoot thru the terrain .I am sure its getting fixed |

They are probably head glitching. Its the plague of all FPS games, and its worsened by the rendering issues which has already been mentioned.
If they are head glitching really well, you just have to get a better angle on them.... which means someplace high than them. |
