Is it possible that they made proto Vk.0 suits available via AUR because they plan to put in a new tier or two of dropsuits soon? Perhaps when the racial variants drop? Just speculating, not trying to start anything, but.... do you think it could be?  |

Dont see how that will work unless they add another type of dropsuit skill. |

I don't think you need another type of dropsuit skill, just the skills that correspond to that suit's function at level V. So the logistics "Omen Type" suit may require Minmitar Logistics IV, Dropsuit Command V, and Hacking V. The Scout's "Spec Ops" suit may require sensor dampening V, Gallente Scout IV, and Dropsuit Command V. |

Oh chances are its going to be...
You're also forgetting that the new suits are likely to be using their own skill set
Such as Covert Ops I would be required for any race's Covert Ops suit.
Luckily these are specialist suits so don't expect multiple tiers of them to unlock as you level that skill up if anything it would be a type a type b scenario. |

Yeah, we might be getting Tech 2 suits (Meta 5). That would be consistent with EVE in that the most specialized ships are Tech 2 versions of other ships.
In that case, you would likely need Dropsuit Command V, {Racial} (Type) Dropsuit V, and {Specialist} Dropsuit I. |

And lets just hope that the sp requirements are reasonable and not off the wall WTF? kind like when they were 12X??

a corpmate mentioned yesterday that they allowed the VK 0 aurum suit at lvl 3 because lvl 3 is when you hit ADV suits. The other aurum weapons and the like you need to be 1 lvl of operations below to use the step up aurum version...maybe they intended the suits to work like if you have militia you can use standard, you have standard you can use adv and if you have adv you can use proto...even though there are 2 adv and 2 proto. Me being assault i would much rather have a type B or VK1 BUT i think they should have made it so that you had to be lvl 4 to get the aur proto. |

I hate to rain on the parade, but based on the Raider Scout suit, it's a safe bet that the "Covert Ops" and "Omen" suits are just going to be more AUR pre-fit militia stuff.
The covert ops skill will probably be for the cloaking module (equipment?). |

I wish they would release these, my heart's desire is to go scout suit but it's not where it needs to be yet. :(
I'm especially curious to see these scout variants... blitzkrieg fighter or sneaky covert ops?
I used to play a knifing infiltrator back in the original Planetside days...man I'd love to go cov-ops/nova knife!  |
