Who else agree there op I am running when the first one hits but they stick to my tank like gorilla glue not to mention they hit 1k shield damage each. Swarm launchers only hit me about 700 damage max the really good ones 1200 maybe so my question is which is more powerful in real life your grenade or some dudes beast ass missile launcher with guidance and multiple missiles. Hmmm soo up swarms down av grenades a little who agrees? A primary that can't shoot infantry or an AV grenade that blows the hell outta everything. Don't comment about the range and lock because i can be outta a swarmers range in no time and av grenaders are good at sneaking up on me or tossing grenades behind a wall. |

If they did that, this thread would be called "Swarm Launchers" and you would QQ about its power. I dont feel bad for tanks, they have it pretty dang good.

I am running with a guy whose Swarms are doing 360 HP each and he launches 6 at a time for a 2160 HP punch.
AV grenades, according to the description, Seek the vehicle. So they aren't sticking they are Following you. Quickly and with lethal intent. Successfully, so it would seem based on your description.
Oddly enough there is no specific range associated with AV grenades in the descriptions. Maybe others have tested it to find the value.

Yes but with a double 11% resistance amp 30% active shield hardener and clarity ward shield booster u wont do much before Im behind cover ^_^ |

I use AV grenades, but mostly on LAV's. I've got the basic kind (not packed). In general, I can blow up an LAV with 2, sometimes 1 grenade. Tanks... I have to throw a lot more at those (and I only have 3 before I need to reload).
The range isn't that great, I need to be pretty close (I estimate somewhere between 5 and 10 meters...?).
If you're getting blown up in an LAV by AV grenades, you're basically getting to close.
If you're getting blown up in a tank... I dunno, I'd think you're being a bit silly then.
However, this might be different when using better higher level AV grenades. |

In my personal opinion, I like how it is right now.
AV Nades require you to be up close and personal with a vehicle which is much more risky. There should be some sort of bonus for that.
Swarms can be used at a distance with fire and forget which allows you to seek cover.
A Forge can be shot at distance but has a longer ramp time to it and is not lock on + fire and forget.
All of them have specific bonuses but also drawbacks. I think that is pretty balanced. |

But honestly CCP, AV grenades? A grenade that can slaughter a tank? Seriously? If you insist on having a close quarters AV weapon just put in dumb fire rocket launchers or AT mines. Please just remove AV grenades. Its an irrational concept that simply makes no sense.
Its like giving a simple bullet the ability to dive underneath the waves and sink a submarine. Its completely stupid. |

I like AV grenades and hate HAVs and LAVs. So I am a little biased. I love the idea of a grenade that senses a vehicle and seeks it out. Its original and creative. Drawbacks to AV grenades are they do nothing unless thrown at a vehicle so they are useless against infantry and you have to be relatively close. you can only carry three at a time versus the amount of rounds a forge gunner can carry and a swarm launcher holds in one shot.

They already have AV mines for starters and a lot of times it's hard to kill a tank with just AV grenades I've seen games where entire squads w/ just the grenades go for a tank and still have a hard time killing it. As a bonus it's a completely rational concept AV grenades are basically HE (high explosive) magnets that latch onto vehicles and blow up. |

An HE explosive of that size would be like a water balloon to a tank. It would need to be a shaped charge to even have a remote chance. |

How about embracing the QQ from the OP?
No HAV Driver can have more Armor or Shield combined than three AV grenades can destroy. Regardless of the cost of the HAV.
Now everybody is on the exact same level. Anybody that doesn't like can go play that BrownShooterDudeBro game that has Tanks. Or better yet, "Mech Warrior, Down On The Ville".
QQ Boi is spending all that money and whining, incessantly about losing it and everybody else is popping HAVs like they are candy. That makes any whining much more bearable.

My only beef with AV grenades? They seek.
My advice: increase the throw range of AV nades and make them explode on contact but get rid of the seeking. Square deal, if you ask me.
I do think Swarm Launchers need just a hair more love than they are getting now, but that is another piece of fat to chew... |

I've been playing for about 8 months so you can all come at me. Av grenades hit as much as a forge gun but can be thrown out 3 times faster thus there op fix fix fix them ^_^. I have had 2 av infantrys just spam grenades behind a wall with a nanohive down good job everyone your allowing grenade spam and grenades that hit as much as forge guns. |

IF your getting hit with grenades in a tank then stop camping spawn points. |

The weenie basic av nades are what most are using. Wait until more of us get proto nades. I suspect that the tactic of getting 3 ppl with proto packed nades in a lav and suicide rushing a tank will return. |
