If we actually do end up getting individual symbols is there any chance that they can be implemented in a way that allows us to buy them at the corp level? I think members only markers would be a great addition and something that people could really sink their ISK into.

It will definitely add some colorful dimension to Dust 514. And make you feel a bit more "Independent "

I was disappointed to learn about their removal before re-purchasing one of each actually as they looked pretty amazing and it was good to see something different on the war barge for once. I wish I could get back my Logi and Heavy fits, and the scout and assaults for my alt character...

I had assumed (completely my own speculation) that the paint bucket was a color fill ability, like the first option you mention, rather than a paint brush. Simply because I'm fairly certain the former will be easier to implement and easier on the system (but also because the paint bucket is a fill tool). Entirely unique textures for potentially every soldier on the battlefield is much harder on memory than simply having common textures with a certain amount of transparency overlaid onto areas of solid color. It's like vector images as opposed to raster images, it's much easier to say "from this point to that point is blue" than it is to say "pixel #1 is blue and pixel #2 is green and pixel #3 is red, etc". That way when someone joins they automatically have access to their corp logo but if they leave they're no longer able to use it. It would give CCP the opportunity to create some really big ticket items that people would need to club together to buy. Ideally it wouldn't be possible to have identical logos on other corps, this way it would really help give a sense of corp identity while on the battlefield.

I doubt they will even give us a tool that would be able to go to that level of detail anyways. Im sure they will just release pre made color palletes, and pre made designs for vehicles that cant be layered. I just get confused in games which feature something mature as its selling point, but as soon as someone makes a vagina out of circles, squares, and triangles.... sh** hits the fan. I do however think that cosmetic upgrades will be available for purchase in the future, most likely with AUR.
