I thought id post once again about tactics when dealing with heavy's , as i run Heavy myself and with the influx of new players its loosing its chalange ( oh how i loved it before the last wipe it acctually felt like i was fighting for my life even in proto heavy suits).
So what i decided to do was to set up some different loadouts i.e. asault, scout (both shot gun and sniper ) and a logi set up i skilled into lvl 1 in every wepon and tryed them all out so hears a list of tactics and wepons i used with some deviation as to the succes of my experament. ps i used complex damage mods for all the wepons tested
Assaults
1) Exile AR - complex damage mods - attacking heavys from range with this rife was easy running strait at them wasent ( get the point)
2) mass driver - great at deniing access but getting the final kill wasent so easy ( not so good for taking on heavys)
3) laser rifle - great at its optimum range - melts the unsuspecting heavy -( running heavy i hate these wepons ) really affective if they are off their guard.
4)- shot gun - crap when in an assault suit ( caant sneak up on heavies so easilly ) but when you do its good night from me and good night from them .
Scouts
1) sniper - as far as im concernd after trying this when it comes to taking down heavies at range this is a win button i.e. great accuracy grrat damage and great tracking speed .
2) shot gun - exelent if you get the drop on a heavy - in a scout suit its easy ( this taught me to skill into the scanners as a heavy now scouts donrt or rarly get the drop on me.)
Logi
tryed the same wepons as the assault the most succesfull was the laser as it forces you to attack from range , the bain of all heavies.

If using the Exile or regular AR, fire in rapid bursts to keep the aim on the heavy - at range, even slight misalignment causes you to miss.
Alternatively, use a TAR to stay well outside the heavy's HMG range (doesn't work against forges), where you can literally stand still and just shoot the heavy.
An interesting method, that has sorta worked for me, is to jump the heavy from above, and just stay within melee range while running around him/her and firing your AR madly. Seems that heavies have limited turn speed 
Finally, grab a freebie LAV and run the heavy over. No, it will not kill him/her (I tried, dang I tried), but it does soften the target quite well.
If all else fails, use a newberry, preferably amarran due to lack of interlect, to work as a meatshield for you. |

Haha to the lav lol . About a week ago I went out in my advanced heavy suit with 2 complex shield mods and 2 complex armour plate mods was bit by a lav it blew up I lived to die at the hands of a malitia assault rifle lol . I was standing with 921 armour and 232 shields when he hit me lol bet he didnt expect that |

As a logi, my method of dealing with heavies is
- Run away if alone and find my own heavy
- Point repair tool at heavy
- Hide behind heavy like a coward
- Season with MD if necessary

Why pegasis, did you not try the Sniper Riffle with the Assault suit? In a Scout suit another sniper is likely to one shot you.
And why do people not use capital letters at the beginning of their names? What do you do when you want to put a non capitalized name at the beginning of a sentence? Do you capitalize it? |

I didnt happen to get shot by other snipers that often to be honest so I didnt really feel the need to go assault sniper I fid however try the logi sniper combo resly good fir geting the uplink and nano hive . Biggest down side was the logi csnt get to all the good spots I found with the scout suit will try the assault sniper combo and edit the post once iv tryed it . Bearing in mind im primarilly targeting heavies as its what I run when im on the ground |

Hehe if heavy fit 2 shield complex and 2 complexy armor modules you should be able to target them with Swarm Launcher  |
