I haven't played since 5 days ago because we moved to a new place. I also bought a new TV but played a little bit of Dust 514 with my old tv before buying the new one.
It converts to 720p and 60hz. What I notice is the gameplay itself. It's like running in 60 frames per second. I notice a latency on my controls. It feels like my gun is heavy when I turn, it takes a half a second to respond my movement. In short, I die a lot because it's like playing a new set of controls.
I believe my TV has this refresh rate on auto, but I'm still investigating. Maybe you guys know what I'm talking about. |

Check to see if your TV has a game mode.
If not then check the refresh rate and also you can adjust it in the XMB of the PS3 i just forget where. |

HD TVs have post-processing that can delay the image.
Make sure you're using an HDMI cable for the hookup, it'll get you the least amount of delay.
Also, try and check if your TV has a 'game mode' in the settings menu. That turns off a couple of the image enhancements so the delay is as little as possible. |

The game looks good on the motion enhancement on high. I hope CCP fix that damn latency. When I turn off all the enhancements, the graphics became ugly and frame rate became clunky. |

You say it looks like it's running 60 FPS? Yeah, then you probably have some kind of "smooth-motion" or "motion plus" kind of feature turned on, which artificially pads the framerate to make it look smoother. And for games, adds noticeable processing delay.
Go through the settings and find this motion plus thing and turn it off. You should be fine after that. What's the brand? |

i'm gonna parrot the "game mode" suggestion. i remember bringing my PS3 to a friends and plugging it into the wrong HDMI port. was miserable. 10 seconds later and it was night and day.
the aquos i play on at home had never been on anything BUT "game mode" so i felt stupid <.< |
