I play about 5-7 skirmish battles a day, with a max of about 10, yet I'm still hitting the skill cap one or two days before the reset.
I find this unacceptable. I understand they don't want people to spec up too quickly, but I'm not playing this game for eight hours a day here.
I know I'm not the only one that stops having the desire to play once my SP rewards for my efforts grind to a screeching halt. Other games and hobbies start to look more appealing once the SP gains becomes so minimal.
Perhaps cut our SP gains in 1/2 once we hit the cap, or even 1/3. Getting only 1,000 SP for a long drawn out intensive effort when level V skills require over 300,000 SP is kind of like a slap in the face.
Discuss.
7-10 skirmish a day as sniper : about 4-5k without booster per game = 35-50k per day 4-5 days = 140k SP - CAP
Sounds good.
And dude, i guess you've started the game pretty recently as otherwise, you would know a vote was organized on those forum to pick a new SP system that is, anyway, still not complete. Before that change, we were allowed to rougly 30-40k SP per day and once reached, you were getting 50 SP per game.
Now, you get to have a whole week to gather you max SP and still get 1000 SP per game played after that. What you forget to consider is that there are many people who dont even reach the cap once every month. And on the other side, there are dudes that plays maybe 5 times more than what's needed to reach the cap.
With a free flow of SP, or even a bigger amount than 1000 SP, kiss goodbye to balance or smooth player base evolution. I have dudes in my corp that already have 200-300 k more SP than me, and i have capped EVERY day and week since the last reset.
If that 1000 SP limit was even 3000 SP, that would mean 1 MIL SP difference. On a total of 4 Mil average SP. See the math there ?
When you reach the cap, tell yourself the rest is bonus. And even though you may feel it's not much, the fact that your char progression will last YEARS, in the end, it will be a lot. |

Discuss. Personally, I think we're making too many sp too fast - peeps shouldn't be in proto this soon. I say lower the cap by 25% and cut the rate of skillpoint gain by 50%.
Your view is biased my friend. You consider proto suits as some kind of end game. but trust that there will be many many many more suits, way way way way way more competitive and SP requiring over time.
Whats sounds like the most powerfull stuff now wont be for long. Thus another reason why "Sp-galooza" wasnt a good idea as some 24/7 grinders would have stockpile SPs quite fast and then be able to MAX OUT any new skill and get every new "proto suit' or gear day-one they're added. |
