When is the damage mod stacking going to get fixed? Was in a match with som guy with a proto suite gek nd 4 mods. Fix this now don't say you are i have heard that for months. |

Seriously though, 4 glitched dmg mods eat through any suit...but yet you see people QQ'ing about other crap. Know why? They're too busy exploiting this...they don't want it to get fixed. |

So does the stacking actually work, or does it just show up like that on the fitting screen? I ask because a I heard that in a past build the damage modification wouldn't show up, but that weapons would still do more damage. |

Erm... Has any Dev actually said it's glitched? This could be working as intended.
It's painfully obvious that gank fitted railguns are win buttons. Most people are rolling blasters because they're awesome fun. |

Interesting. So an Assault A-Series loaded out with Complex Damage Mods and a GEK-38 Assault Rifle with all skills level 5, damage multiplied by 12.5 (rate of fire) would equal out to 650 DPS. That's enough to kill anything in <2 seconds of fire.
Total magazine damage is around 3124.
For the record, a HMG with no mods attached and all skills level 5 does about 705 DPS. With mods attached, it's more like 846.
So yes. +1 to applying stacking penalties. Maybe some of these Assault Rifle/Assault Dropsuit users will have to take a step back and actually play the game. |

I actually see threads pop up on a regular basis about fixing damage mods, but they are almost always outweighed by "nerf x" threads. You are right that there are plenty of people willing to exploit damage mods as long as possible, and they will probably cry about them being nerfed once CCP fixes them. |

Snipers have the perfect balance of damage vs shield atm. Prototype max damage is 369, thale 598 with full skills, 4 complex mods. When people roll proto suits it will be the perfect gamble between fitting 4 mods or dying 1 shot to counter snipe.
If mods are "fixed" going 2 mod 2 shield is a no brainer, and snipers are useless 3-shot killers without Thale. Precaution: upon inserting stacking penalties, make the complex mod 15%. |

It's going to be interesting when they finally get around to fixing this, since very few will want to waste 4 slots on a proto suit just to get ~19% extra damage. More than likely two damage mods at ~15% is all most will bother with, the rest will be either shield tanking or other high slots stuff (I mean really, does anybody ever use anything but damage mods and shield extenders in their high slots?)
Having a stacking penalty for damage mods will likely make the game much more diverse, as it is now pretty much everybody rolls with two options, shield tanking or damage mod tanking. |

ACTUALLY that explains a LOT about the Heavy Type-II suit.
Shield Extenders have no passive drawbacks, and with no stacking penalties applied they perform at full power.
Armor plating, however, still has a mass penalty regardless of whether or not the stacking penalty applies.
Thereby, Shield tanking IS BETTER IN DUST JUST AS MUCH AS IN EVE ONLINE

Anyone who thinks complex damage mods stacking with a BONUS is fine my PROTO MD (Prof 2 only so far) with 4 complex mods aka TACTICAL NUKE would like to have a word.
