I've tried deleting a few mails, but it did nothing to fix it. I also tried resetting, going into battle and checking, and toying with it in the warbarge just in case there was some issue with the merc quarters, but it has not fixed. I am currently re-downloading the game in a last ditch effort to get rid of the mail indicator. CCP, do you know of this issue or have any ideas for a work around to make the indicator go away? Or to get the mails if there really are any?

The so called "phantom mail" is actually EVE players from the same corp sending mails. However, at the current state of the game, we are unable to view any of them.
