Shooters of faces,
A fair few CCP devs are attending the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco and we'd love to use the chance to meet our players in the area for drinks and banter at the (long limbed) Roe.
The party starts are 8pm and we'll head out for unknown adventures at 10pm. Entry is free of course, and CCP is buying the drinks. The age limit is 21.
The venue has a capacity of 100 people so please show up early to make sure to get in. We'd also like to ask you to sign up on our Eventbrite site.
Devs in attendance include:
CCP Unifex - Executive producer for EVE Online
CCP Seagull - Senior Producer for EVE Online
CCP Soundwave - Lead Game Designer for EVE Online
CCP Guard - EVE Community Developer

Just drinking with players? You've shown no sign of wanting to communicate with your communitty recently...so let's just presume this is an 'alcohol only' kind of get together.

FYI, tickets are no longer available on the 22nd, but the event is still for the 26th. Please read before being a jerk. Thank you for the opportunity to with you Devs ^_^. Alas, I have a heavy school load, but I wish you guys the best for this event.

CCP Unifex is a pretty down to earth person, thanks for the beer and the Icelandic ooze(forgot the name of it).
To al the other EvE players that couldn't comb their hair or get out of sweat pants, WTF? Interanational Executives want to buy you a beer in a classy place and you put forth ZERO real world effort. Thanks for proving the rest of the world right about Americans. On the other hand I looked so damn sharp that long term EvE players thought I was a Dev, so I lied and rolled with it. It's not everyday you get mistaken for Greatness that you didn't cause yourself! If any CCP Devs catch this message in the next 8 hours, tell CCP Unifex to keep an eye on securtiy, I'll be showing up trying to exploit any holes and I will make it inside! Thanks again for the booze and the oppurtunity to hang out with internationally awesome people.

Not for nothing, but their, um, clumsy evenbrite event was filled up. A few days ago, in the thought that the 100 places probably were erroneously filled up to some extent, I posted here to see if there was at least something else going on as I live like 3 blocks away to.... ZERO response.
You get what you put in when you put it on yourself to host an event. Shame, I would have definitely stopped in.
But then again, whatever. |

After reading the trip report, I was saddened that I couldn't make it up to SF for this event. Hopefully CCP will get around to San Diego at some point so I can shoot the S with my favorite game devs. By the way, what is this Icelandic Ooze I keep reading about?
