I'm sorry, I don't have the link handy, but I believe in Dust Podcast #9 a couple devs said that the next major build (due around Fanfest) would begin to allow players to conquer districts on FW planets and farm them for ISK in some way.
There could also be something more recent, but I have found it yet. |

Sorry... may be a noob question but I think the OP was (and I am) wondering what FW even means. |

Oh, sorry to the OP- I was tired.
Yeah, Faction Warfare is a subset of the PVP conflict in EVE Online.
Players who want to can sign up with one of the faction militias and are considered always "At War" with pilots in the opposing militias.
In addition, players can capture entire star systems from the other faction and then upgrade certain benefits that are offered in those systems. If you do that enough, it boosts the rewards you get from working from your militia, so if capturing a complex nets you 12,000 Loyalty Points (LP) normally- winning a lot can raise that and losing a lot can lower it.
Dust 514 is set to factor into that system, with us capturing planets in systems and making it easier or harder to capture the system. This is also supposed to be accompanied by the ability for us and EVE pilots to get economic benefit from holding planets or districts thereof. |

Thanks. That's basically what I was looking for. I knew there were corporations and corp wars and such but I didn't realize there was this also.
