As I LogiJog towards my squad, objectives, gunfire, etc.; I'll often drop a nano-hive next to any snipers I see that don't have one. It was recently pointed out that the containment field effect may give away the snipers position if inappropriately placed. If you or a loved one have cursed a blueberry logi who did this, it may have been me. Sorry. |

Your intentions were good. Nano-hives are very helpful. In future just try to hide the nano-hive so that it is not giving the sniperGÇÖs position away. Put it behind a rise, around a corner, or behind some sort of cover.

Damn, I've been spawning one dropship per sniper and parking them right behind them in case they need a getaway. Probably suffers from the same issue, plus the fact that unattended dropships explode... |

snipers are bad, you shouldn't give them ammo, EVER. all they do is lose the game. . . can't wait till full release content comes out, corp battles/faction war has no place for them, and that's where the good stuff will be. |

Thanks for the nanohive fella. Want to improve? Don't drop it on the sniper, because being inside the field drastically drops your framerate :) |

Huh I do that on purpose. If I could carry and deploy enough I would write hello here is that sniper pos that is trying to kill you...
Or at least make an arrow to them.
To the good useful snipers about 1/100 of the snipers I see keep doing what your doing.
To the mlt snipers who apparently are shooting at tanks and dropships hoping you can blow them up... please do something else.... anything else. |

I would suggest talking to the sniper first. He might be a noob that will die in seconds.......don't waste ur nanohives. |

were you the guy standing in front of my scope who I blew up?
I am not sure how, but I managed to grenade a bluedot to death who did this to me.

Yes. If you are close enough or have line-of-sight, you will often see a red Nanohive (or Drop Uplink) icon.
The thing that gets me is when I can see them on my minimap, but NOT by actually looking at them. It sometimes takes half a minute or so for it to actually appear in my visual field.
However, what the OP is talking about is the glowing nano-swarm around the Nanohive. Sometimes those are visually visible from a long way off, thus making it easier to see the sniper. |

Going 53 and 2 and winning by a clone victory while defending a letter is losing the game? Wow, I had no idea. |

Ya well, crybabies will cry. If not snipers then tanks, orbitals, HMGs, and so on. The forums are full.
For the OP, while it is awful kind to drop a nanohive as you pass a sniper you'll get way better WP dropping one near a letter, major path of travel, or other spot where blues are grouped. Machine gunners, mass drivers and folks heavy on grenades will love you long time and the WP gains flow much better than a lone sniper. Most snipers also carry a nanohive of their own if they're good, or die too often to need one if they're not. Keep up the logibro stuff though.

Yeah, it's not the most efficient use, but I've got two. And they might be new and unaware of nanohives, I don't think the starter fit has them. |

It's a damn shame that the game mechanics of both Eve and Dust do not support people that support. Logistics has always been the unsung hero. Hats off and +1, good sir.

Good snipers bring their own hives. Great ones have a drop uplink as well.
As a Logi, save the hives for the heavy or assaults running with you. |

i usaully never bring an uplink for myself as a sniper. the point being is if i died its either a squad ran up on me meaning i really mad that group mad and are hunting that area for me so i don't want to spawn there or anoughter sniper got me and knows i was in that area and is waiting for me to show up there again for an easy kill and which case i don't want to do again.
hives are not bad but if placed in the open give away their spot to other snipers mostly, roofs help but most sniper spots don't have roofs. the most snipers never run out of ammo for either other the following reason. 1) they are bad and do not how really be effective as a sniper and will die soon 2) know their ammo limits and will plan for it with having a hive or use that as a area change indicator to change area. over working one area will draw others to snipe you weather or not they are snipers.
me, i do not really mind if u place a hive behind a rock or corner from but don't plan on seeing alot of use from it. i use the charged sniper so ammo is not as a issue for me but those who view the tactical as good would love you for it as they burn alot more ammo down.
i do hate some snipers and i fully understand why people hate them besides dieing from them, bad snipers thou are usually bad players in general so the less they see combat usually is better for your teams clone count slightly.
one last reply, to the talk to the sniper first, if hes good hes supporting a squad and is going to be on squad voice, if hes bad hes not going to know how to turn on voice chat to start with so yea best idea save it for the heavies and assaults running with you logi.
