I hope to eventually skill into vehicles once I have my base skills upto a decent, survival, level but I have a few questions.
1. If you have a higher skill rating in say Shield Control (increase shield strength of dropsuits and vehicles) or some other related skill like field mechanics and you jump into somebody else's vehicle as a weapons officer e.g HAV in a small turret, does the overall strength of the shield iincrease or is it based on the player in the drivers seat?
2. Or are the shield, armor, and weapons boosts based on the original owner/creator who deployed the vehicle?
3. If boosts are based on whoever is in the (main) drivers seat what happens if the original owner of the deployed vehicle can not reach the vehicle, NOT talking about stealing their ride, and you jump into it instead do the specs change based on your skill investments e.g shield strength and not those of the original owner?
Thx for any help |

Shield and armor are based on the person that called it in.
The only real thing a blueberry effects are turret damage. Whatever turret youre on will be effected by your individual turret skills. |

Hope this is correct as I currently have field mechanics level 5, Shield Control level 4 (5 by the end of the week) and Shield Boost level 4. It would be nice to think that other peoples vehicles benefit from this investment as well as me.
I play a Logi so it is nice to think I am helping others. :-) |

Yes, but only yours. Hence, once you call it in, the stats on you vehicle, which is affected by your skills, is locked once you call it in. Otherwise, what happens if someone with less combat engineering skill than the original pilot entered a vehicle with maximised PG? |

The HP of the vehicle is determined by the driver not by who called it in. If you look when it gets dropped off it will have a lower HP then when you are in it if you have the relevant skills. |
