Like the topic says.
Please don't post in threads you lock or move unless you feel like they deserve being stuck with the dev/gm tag. (If you feel like they deserve it, post something like "Hey this idea is great" or something. If it's absolutely necessary for you to post reasons for locking (Which is usually just a link to the forum rules anyways), it'd be great if you got your web team to allow you to post without leaving a dev/gm tag on a thread for something meaningless like this.
Multiple reasons
1) It muddles up the search function for anyone trying to find 'official' posts using the 'Dev Posts' search.
2) Even if you just post to say "I'm cleaning this up" It just draws attention to the thread as a whole which encourages more shitposting.
3) It gives impressions that CCP cares more about certain topics and such to people who don't fully understand what the tags mean. That's more of a problem with players assuming silly stuff because they have no information to the contrary, but still.
I'm sure most of us appreciate the completely unforgiving work you do trying to keep the forums at least somewhat clean, but if you could do this for us, it'd be great! |

Not to tell the mods what to do but wouldn't it work just as well to edit the first or last post with an explanation? Because, yeah, the things Nova said. |

Agreed.
Especially point number 3. It's especially unnerving to see a Dev tag on a topic like "[Request] More nerfs for Heavies and Snipers".
Gives the impression that you guys are like, automatically agreeing with that request or something. x_x

I kept meaning to make this thread for the longest time.
Nothing more annoying than giving a garbage thread lots of attention, whose author couldn't be bothered to put the thread in the right place to begin with, simply because it's got a GM/DEV flag on it because of "moved to the appropriate section." |

Moved to appropriate forum.

Haven't you guys already figured out that GM and Dev posts don't actually include any useful information? I used to be like "Oh, dev post!" Now I'm like, oh, Dev post, avoid that crap thread. |

I don't see GM tags on some threads which GMs have moved and posted in anymore.
Seems like a pretty quick resolution for this. |
