So I began speccing into MD's as a logibro and have found that the pop-up sights are rubbish. The reticule on the HUD seems better since it has ranging lines on it that are fairly intuitive; the farther your target, the lower the line used, easy. But the pop-up sight makes no sense. If you set the high line on the target, you shoot your feet; if you try the low line, the weapon model obscures your vision. Could any other MD users set me straight on this? |

Thanks for confirming. It's easy enough to aim without the sights, though it would be nice if they actually helped. |

Yeah, I've seen people complain about MD's already. I can't say I've used even a small portion of the weapon types, but I see MD's as similar to nova knives in that they use completely different mechanics than the other weapons. |

Perhaps a sight that mimics real-world grenade launcher sights? Basically, there is a peep sight on the side of the current U.S. version that angles up and down, with range increments marked on it. You estimate range, slide the sight down to the desired mark, and then sight through the peephole. The weapon is now at the correct angle and you fire.
So something like the current sight, mounted on the side, with numbers on it marking out ranges. Close ranges near the top, almost in line with the barrel. As you go down the sight, the ranges would increase, elevating the barrel to the correct position for that range. |

People cry about anything and everything it seems.  But the MD is awesome and seems pretty well balanced atm, the sights just struck me as odd. And it is like Sobriety Denied said, you never use the sights; especially as a logi. |
