Deploying them on a hill causes them to slide for a little then disappear.
Sometimes you'll get blank nanohives. You'll throw them down and they'll start glowing but they won't give you ammo. When this happens both of your nanohives get bugged.
Like drop uplinks they often completely disappear from both the radar and from your screen. When this happens you can still get ammo from them if you remember where it was placed. |

I hate to agree with him but this is true. All of it.
EDIT: I told them about this builds ago so its still a problem best adice I can give you is try to throw them on flat ground and not to close to corners. Its really about how far off 90 degrees they are thats why they disapear on slopes but they also disapear if there cocked to far sideways too.Like on a ledge.
EDIT 2:Sorry what I also cant stand is when your teamates cant see them.I dont know how many times someone has asked me for ammo and I say I just threw one down right there and they say where and they strafe in circles till it starts adding ammo but they still dont see it.But I see it plain as day on my screen. |

1. Put on flat places. Do (or dont :) put it on crack and small areas .. they hide well. 2. When you died ... 'yours' nano will visible like to other teammates .. after while (probably this is affected from signature of user). If you at place and this is 'blue' nano you will start get ammo/heal - whatever you see it or not. 3. Healing nano - first heal then give ammo. |

Hello!
Here are some answers and questions we have regarding these:
Moejoe Omnipotent wrote:Deploying them on a hill causes them to slide for a little then disappear. This is actually intended behavior. If deployable equipment fails to deploy (sliding or moving in any way), it will blow up after some time. Unfortunately, the effect of deployable equipment (nanohives, drop uplinks) blowing up is currently bugged and will be fixed in the upcoming release. Make sure to place them on a flat surface!
Moejoe Omnipotent wrote:Sometimes you'll get blank nanohives. You'll throw them down and they'll start glowing but they won't give you ammo. When this happens both of your nanohives get bugged. Nanohive will not start replenishing ammo before your armor is fully repaired. What kind of nanohive you were using in this test?
Moejoe Omnipotent wrote:Like drop uplinks they often completely disappear from both the radar and from your screen. However, if you deployed a nanohive and you can't see it and yet it still does what it is supposed to do, we will do further investigation on this specific bug.
Thank you for your bug report! |

Drop uplinks are really glitchy with when they appear or not. When hunting down enemy drop uplinks, they fail to appear in the minimap, and they are "invisible".
Then when standing near it, suddenly the drop uplink will "appear" in front of you and appear on the minimap.
Summary: Enemy drop uplinks are invisible, until "something" happens and they suddenly pop into existence. |

they slide even when logic says they shouldn't though : (
Do I need to go make a video to explain this to the devs in china? |

Agreed to all of the above but also want to add that they often deploy beneath the surface of the ground, especially if dropped on a small bump. This makes them almost impossible to detect and quite difficult to destroy (if enemy equipment). They seem to suffer from the same sort of problem as splash damage that doesn't hit you if there's a tiny bump in the ground - line of sight appears to be either very much too strict or for some reason is drawing a line to your merc's feet instead of head. |

Friendly drop uplinks and nanohives have similar visual ranges on minimap and appearance making them harder to find to be used. About 20 yard or much less is the common visual range. |

The problem isn't the nanohive. I've had this happen to me several times, and when it does not even a supply depot will give you ammo. The problem usually resolves itself in a little while if I keep playing, but I found that switching to another fit at a supply depot will fix it right away. Seems like your suit somehow gets bugged. |

Confirming this. I've had the same behavior and fixed it the same way. |

I don't think this is the greatest mechanic since there are a lot of uneven surfaces on these maps. And ya I've never seen a nanohive actually blow up.
Quote:Nanohive will not start replenishing ammo before your armor is fully repaired. What kind of nanohive you were using in this test?
Standard nanohives. Apparently when this bug occurs you are unable to replenish your ammo at all, neither through nanohives nor supply depots. Apparently if you switch loadouts at a supply depot it fixes this bug.
Also I've always been able to replenish ammo with a nanohive with my armor damaged. I think it should stay this way. Lack of ammo is a already a big issue in this game with the low magazine sizes and carrying capacity. A lot of us already spend a large chunk of our time in-game just sitting on nanohives. Having to wait for your armor to repair would slow down the game even more.

Both drop uplinks and nanohives are bugged. Sometimes you can be looking directly at them but they will not show up anywhere on your screen. Neither in front of you nor on the radar. This is very common with enemy drop uplinks.I have spawn camped enemy drop uplinks without ever actually having seen them because the game won't load them for me. |

My understanding is that red deployable equipment has sensor stats like everything else. Whether or not you detect the thing depends on how good the electronics in your suit are. You *should* be able to see the things though if you're standing within a few feet of them.
Friendly gear shows the same behavior, so I'm wondering if it's incorrectly being hidden from you until your skills say that you're able to detect it. Since the things animate when you detect them as if they had just been deployed, it's quite possible to be moving quickly enough that you never even see the thing at all. |

Confirming this bug happens to me, too. In my case it's associated with deploying nanohive on uneven ground: if you deploy it to hillside, it sometimes starts sliding downhill and after sliding some 5-10 meters, it just disappears without any trace. |

Most important bug relating to this issue by far is enemy Drop Uplinks taking time to 'load' in if you haven't hung around the area for a while already. As a scout with high profile I'm very frequently hunting down areas that I know contain uplinks from the flow of clones, only to find one pop into existence right in front of me after searching the same area for 10 to 20 seconds. Not just on the minimap, I mean literally spawn out of nowhere in front of my face. This is a regular occurrence, and I shouldn't need to explain why this is a major balance issue. |

Snaps Tremor wrote:Most important bug relating to this issue -- snip other stuff -- I suspect this is related to TacNet supplying you with accurate data. If someone Else sees it in action that increases the odds your TacNet display will show it.
When my alt runs as his normal Heavy he sprays the area with HMG rounds. Not only do they show up they disappear right quick as well.
Some Blue Uplinks are only supposed to be visible by Your Squad by the way.
When the new UI drops that might resolve some of these issues. However, I am not certain this is a Bug in the view CCP/Shanghai developers. It seems to be as designed but it does require some fine tuning regarding All the various scan and dampening features. We already know the scanning modules are not working completely correctly. |

Regardless of TacNet, the drop uplink is a physical object on the ground. I'm not talking about the radar at all here, I'm talking about the actual item on the floor going from invisible to visible after ten seconds of looking directly at the spot it should exist at. If you are physically searching an area for an uplink in hilly ground this means you can step on and beyond a fully functioning enemy uplink before it exists in the game.
That time can easily be the difference between someone spawning in and someone not spawning in. Or you cutting off their spawn location and changing the flow of a match, or not being able to (even if you know it's right there) because the game's netcode doesn't think it should exist for you yet. |
