V4h will be hosting a tank tournament. The rules will be simple.
Entrance fee is 5 mill.
Winner takes all.
No rails.
No hiding in the red line.
1v1 only.
This is for the title of best tanker. To enter reply to this thread, join the channel "tank battle" and place an alt in v4h for payment/winnings. May the best tanker win.

Future tournaments: tanks with squads and shield tanks.
I don't like rail battles because they are over too quick and leave you feeling unfulfilled. |

I'm a shield tanker myself. It is no secret that armor has the advantage in a tank battle without rails. Saying it was for the title of best tanker isn't fair to shield tanks. I just wanted to grab attention. Hopefully the results will prove shield tanks need a buff.
Rail fights are over too quick and are the least fun form of tank battles IMHO.
I find tank battles are extremely fun and I only wanted something else for us to do besides pub stomping. I plan to have many other versions of these battles so it can include everyone. As things stands now, it will be armor vs armor. Unless there is a extremely tactical shield driver feeling lucky. |

Thanks for your help, I just thought this would be fun. I'm sure there would be many participants if rails were allow. I just didn't want it to be a snipe fest. Maybe I was wrong in my thinking. I'll give it a few days and if we don't have at least 6 involved, I'll call it off and try something different. |

What makes tank combat fun is making it work like eve. Where it's 5v5, and you can use rails, but they cost more points. Jsut a simple rail blasetrs missles, and the teams set up, that's what makes tank combat interesting. And when you die you don't respawn.
We play this out world of tanks style of course.
