The next build is going to make or break it for me.
I've been here since build 1 of closed beta.
We know this isn't the full version but progression has been very slow.
Yes devs have a weekly feedback, however, they say things like
Looking into redline abuse, the next week its something else with 0 updates of what they discussed for redline abuse.
1 year later and we haven't even seen 90% of the things said they would be fixing.
We get hardly any real feedback and if they did implement something we suggested or that we want balanced more, they do their own thing hoping its right without working along side the community to balance things out.
We've been lacked in content for a year, I mean really? 1 year and very little has changed.
This game has great potential.
If it doesn't speed up by the time ps4 gets on market then it will flop.
Psn players are not like PC players, once something flops the player base is dead and stays so.
There needs to be more content and need for Corp battles than just fame and glory.
Market trading needs to be open,
Terrain bugs need fixed,
Graphics need smoothed,
DS's need their WP's,
AV vs Vehicles need fixed,
Large missile turrets need fixed,
Railguns need to be more effective,
AR's need their internal tier system reworked for dps and recoil between militia and proto,
LR needs skills to work and be applied,
AV grenades need reworked,
Swarms need reworked,
Hit detection needs improvement,
These are just a few thing in a long list that a year hasn't been solved and slowly moves forward, though moving backwards faster then forward I totally agree with pretty much everything that you say.The lack of content and polish for a game that's been in development for this long is teetering on unacceptable, mainly because of the lack of communication to the players from CCP. The more and more I think about it,the more I'm of the realization that this game will never be finished for the PS3.I would bet almost anything that CCP has the dev tools for PS4,and are maximizing it for the new console.I'm thinking that we are just lab rats testing that most basic systems so that they can just easily transfer that data into the PS4. As slowly as this game is moving into becoming a full release, that's the only thing that really makes any sense at this point. The progression of development is just taking way too long for anything else other than they just don't know what the hell they are doing,to be the case. This game won't progress much past what it is now due to the platform constraints being bumped into.
They will make it as stable as they can and abandon you while they shoot for the next platform. CCP can't risk being left behind again on the wrong end of a console's life cycle.
Of course they won't say that, they only need to tease you along for around six more months.

Y0UR NAME HERE wrote:Dr Debo Galaxy wrote:I love how people come on the forums threatening CCP with leaving. If you want to leave then leave. To me at least you sound like the guy at best buy shoutting loud trying to say this is crappy about the company and that is horrible about the company. In the mean time we all just go about shopping at the store.
Also this is a true beta, there opened the beta to get the numbers up to test the servers and to be a part of the "free-to-play" push by sony. This game is doing something that no other game has done before. Connecting a console with a pc in real time. There is no bemch mark for this. There are going to be speed bums and stalls at some point, but I would say that no news is good news, or silence is golden.
I feel like gamers are the most spoilled people on the planet. Your basically saying give me my money's worth when you payed nothing. So in all reality you have gotten more than your money's worth. You literally got something for nothing. And if you did give CCP money through a merc pack or aurum purchase that is on you not them.
Bottom line is no one listens to the guy in a resturant yelling "This place has rats" because we all know there pissed and just want to get something they are not entitled to. Or you get screwed on a game you didn't pay for when there are tons of people who buy games and are disappointted by them. 10 years of eve, 8 accounts, I've paid something. Don't jump to conclusions, Most of the player base here is from eve, we have paid for this game. We also brought up the idea to make it a few years ago. 360k accounts times 14.99 per month for 10 years. Was this game really free to play? Or free for the psn community unfamiliar with eve to play? Being a loyal customer won't save you.
Because you won't toe the party line you'll be simply targeted by CCP for special treatment.
I'll bet that guy that was likening people not pro-CCP to child molesters in other threads is in less danger than you for expressing the views you do.
Don't be surprised if you find your EVE accounts threatened for having your opinion. It happens.

You're a funny guy, but you and I know it doesn't quite work that way.

CCP Eterne wrote:But you know what is a good way to get a forum warning? Rumor mongering. I have deleted a post which did just that! CCP Eterne, I'm sure you're a great guy doing a bang up job but do you know what you are doing here as far as I can see it?
You are simply goading me into break rule No. 9 which would elegantly prove my point but we both know is very much a a no-no.
And in particular very dangerous to us all if I had to do so.
So I appreciate your work at steering the ship for CCP on the DUST forums but some events are probably beyond your knowledge.
It's nothing personal. |

Go and a create a complaint thread on the EVE forums to give CCP a "good bashing and thurogh (sic) beat down".
1. Your thread will be closed as a rant. 2. If you complain you will be sanctioned. 3. Escalate and there will likely be retribution and further threats.
"Rules" never come into play and it doesn't simply apply to the scenario above. What CCP say in public and what they do in private are two very different things.
