so i just played a skirmish where there was a sniper far atop a mountain, and beyond the fly roof, and he prolly had maxed sharpshooter so he can outshoot anyone. So considering that you can't get up there with a typical dropship (Which shouldn't be necessary to kill some1 anyways), and most ppl wouldn't have the sharpshooter skill high enough to snipe back, how would one be able to beat him/her? especially since he got 1 death, some1 must have gotten him somehow
P.S. it's not rhetorical, im really wondering if there is a strategy that i don't know because there's a bunch of things i never try |

lol i would, but he's REALLY high and the mountain is ridiculously steep. It's high enough that u can't dropship flty there, except with boosters or something i guess |

You can't get high enough with boosters i tried that once almost crashed, and yes that thing is a ***** to run up, it amused me to watch the guy freak out when i started hitting him though |

If there's no way to get to him then there's no way to kill him. Just ignore him,get in a tank ,head to another point. Or level your sniper skills so you can counter them in the future. |

Hopefully he'll be using the Thales officer weapon ,that will make the OB worth every WP. |

Just grab a militia sniper, you don't need any level in sharpshooter to snipe back at that point |

Tested or old rumor? I read this about militia forge gun too, but that has 300m max range now. |

Well, actually never used the militia rifle too much, but I have no sp in sharpshooter yet so standard sniper works just fine. |

Make a cheap-kitten scout suit with whatever weapon you prefer. Slap on some stamina/speed and hunt him down....
Keep in mind, if he managed to get there, so can you. (with the right suit that is)
Forge guns / OB / sniper / tanks are also pretty effective.

i made it up there with a logi suit, you just have to find the right path and it's easy if time consuming to get up there |

Either climb up, countersnipe (there's no map yet where someone will be completely out of range), or use a large railgun. |

The furthest mountain range and the one that's most used for sniping way in the sharpshooter range is line harvest east end. I haven't seen anyone make a big difference sniping from there. In future maps sharpshooter sniping might be more important.

Problem was he could hit every single objective and if you tried to call in a vehicle he would either hit it as it was being deployed or as soon as it came into range, and he would go and hide behind the ridge whenever he got down to armour |
