What does everyone have this set to?
I am finding it difficult to find a level I'm happy with. too low and my turn speed is awful, too high and my aim is all over the place
At the moment I've got for the middle at 50%
So lets do a bit of a survey, what do you have it set to?
Thanks |

The reason you can't find a setting you like is because the stick "curve" looks like this:
\_/ where you have a dead-zone flanked by two sloping lines. Notice that moving from the dead-zone flat line to the movement line is very abrupt.
The slider changes the slope of the lines, but it doesn't do anything for that transition.
If you lower the slope dramatically you can ease that bump, but at the expense of nerfing your highest speed. If you raise the slope to achieve a high max speed you create a huge speed bump.
You are not going to be able to get a comfortable setting because of the way it is designed.
What CCP needs to do is to throw out the line and introduce a curve instead. That way we can have a high overall slope with a gradual change from the dead-zone to movement. That way we won't be jerking past the target every time we want to make a small adjustment. |
