Six months? A year?
With all the promised content and the minimal amount of it we see now.
Along with the integration into eve.
I would say a year + unless they have a massive amount of finished content ready to be released and they are just holding back for polish and other things.
I really hop that's the case. Because otherwise I think this game went beta way to early.  |

Next to never, there will always be expansions,
You want my honest opinion? Probably not but,
I think dust will flop by the time ps4 hits the market.
I hope CCP makes me eat those words, I really do.
But unless the next build adds a lot to keep the community entertained, it will flop.
There's just to many issue, huge lack of dev feedback and communication,
Lack in battle significance, Corp or pub, lack in market, lack in player trading.
So much potential in this game, please make me eat my words. |

That's how long since the PS3 was released.
Over four cycles of Moore's Law.
Whatever they're gonna do, they better do it quick.
CCP couldn't do vampires online and dust at the same time, also a tough gig to try to close out a game on the PS3 and look to the future.
Dust on the PS4 will always just be a pretty version of the game until support for the PS3 is ended.
A lot to think about.

I am aware of the expansions aspect.
But I also have the sinking feeling this game is going to fail.
I have been waiting for this game since it was announced.
It looked so cool.

My baseless guess is that they will launch as a finished game (non-beta) on both systems with the launch of the PS4. So 8-9 months from now. |

Eve was released as a finished product, there was 4 races, a market, a working mail system, and everything in place for the game. It has GROWN but it was finished after 4 years of work. Now dust is not finished we got let it crazy early. There needs to be 4 races of LAV, Tanks, Tank auto guns and the world of tanks overview map artillery tank weapons that are coming. There needs to be a working trade system, and the character creator. There must be 4 races of suits or at least more. And there needs to be 4 races or art for building you fight in. We only have like 25% of the map pieces guys, this game is not release state yet. CP have said there are tons of other maps allready downloaded they haven't turned them on because they aren't ready to yet.
Or whatever I don't know, CCP is being scary secret |

I say, 2 weeks holidays, and the lag of big updates right now.... "could" be a sign that they getting near the next stage in the open beta. If that is the case, i'll say is not more than 2 or 3 months to the official release, maybe even least then that.

Makes me wounder, if it goes directly to ps4 then they might need another year, we might talking 2015, worst case scenario , I will ask 2 question on fanfest :
- what will we get implented in to Dust514 before summer, sure things not visions, only facts.
- will it and when be ported to PS4

Wait for fan fest we will know then. Right now they are just data mining us and pushing what they need to do that, and not wasting time tying to get us the full release. so you say but the need to check the full release, yes and no its a lot easier to tweak a smaller build then the whole game every time they find a problem.
that said who knows how much more there will be. I'm not getting my hopes up. Fanfest is when we will know right now we are just stomping out bugs and feeding CCP data. |

this is by no means the full release. the reason for the open beta and nda being dropped was because it ould be impossible to enforce said nda once dust was connected to eve. this is a game that will grow with time. |

I wonder how they will do the PS4 version, will it be identical to the PS3 version, meaning they have to support both, and the PS4 version will be held back by the PS3 version
when will they drop support for the PS3 version, that will make lots of people angry if they do it to early, while others frustrated if in 2016 they still saying "yea we can't do larger battles as PS3 cannot support that"
I plan on getting the PS4, but not in first year of launch (which is 2014 in the EU...) Some EVE players went out an bought a PS3 simply to play DUST now there gonna be told you need to get a PS4...

I'm not bashing the beta or being patient. I love this game. I am one of those people who purchased a ps3 for this game.
Being a long time eve player I know all about how CCP works. And I want them to succeeded with the game.
But its just seems like beta was a bit early.
Also if this game gets trashed on ps3 and is exclusive to ps4 I will lose it |

im pretty sure this game will come out around the time the ps4 is launched, if were lucky it might come out sometime this summer but i dont think they'll push it that far.
The next content patch (based off what ive heard the devs say) is huge, and is likely to keep everyone in the game until the next one. I mean im talking about sov warfare, market system, racial suits, ect ect...
glitches and bugs will be everywhere, but a week or two after the deployment hotfixes will hopefully fix all of that. |

eve supported two graphics at the same time, dust could do the same I'm sure. Untill like maybe 3 years after the release of the ps4, but come on now, if you are still playing dust in 4 years, I think it might be worth it to upgrade to a cheap ps4. |

Realistically = Soon tm.
It really depends on whether they get the ball rolling and roll out the next build with a decent number of new features in it. If we see a new build, and it's just more of the same . . . drop a level down the chart above, rinse, repeat.
What we need to see soon, and not soon tm: market system, faction warfare beta testing, unicorns, team commanders that can drop in turrets and such, more vehicle types, the meaning of life (in DUST), drones, suits/gear for each faction, etc.
Two of those things could be left out but all of the rest MUST happen. If we get unicorns, CCP can drop one other thing - assuming we can ride them into battle, and equip them with shield hardeners. Seriously, though, CCP needs to start testing all of the stuff above (sans unicorns) in the very near future or we can expect to see DUST pushed further and further away (I don't know if I buy the whole DUST being cancelled idea, but who knows). |

the truth is... never.
ps4 is coming end of this year and CCP will release a ps4 client for sure.
and there will always be stuff to adjust and new content to release to keep the playerbase busy, just like in eve online. |
