Seriously, you can all blow me.
The problem isn't that it is OP. The problem is it has less recoil then the duvolle and its way cheaper. All you have to do is stack damage mods and you have Geks recoil with duvolles power. GEKs need to be a little bit more expensive or the duvolles need a buff lol.
There isn't much of a reason to run duvolles>GEK atm. |

The problem is that there is very little incentive to use the proto AR when the advanced AR is just as good if not better at range. Solution is to flatten recoil on ARs or just make the GEK more expensive. |

The duvolle takes a lot more skill to use properly though. It just sucks there isn't much of a reason to use it. I honestly don't think ccp calculated how recoil on ARs would be effected once they flattened all damage on weapons. The duvolle just isn't worth the isk or inreased recoil. |

That's not an insult, I'm primarily an AR user.
It is the simpler and less rewarding path but nonetheless it's accessibility is crucial to the game. When people like me tire of using the AR I'm sure we will eventually take the plunge into something more complex and tactical. In terms of the GEK specifically, I think a minor adjustment to either the price, the recoil, or both will even things up satisfactorily and not be a deal-breaker for the grunts like myself.
No, the AR is for people who are good at every situation. Why spec smg if have good long range aim. Why spec lazors if you are a beast in cqc. AR is for the jack of all trades type of players. I would be limiting myself if I played anything else.
At least thats how I see it. |

I don't play computer games.
I play video games to dominate. If I wanted a challenge I would pick up a rubix cube. Besides people don't spec into lazors because they want a challenge. They spec into it because they have good long range aim and they want to dominate with what suits their strengths best. |
