yea. I haven't been in years. It's 21+ Sat night.
Easiest way to get there is on the T from PAX in case anyone else is wondering, but the T shuts down 12:00-1:00am and the bars are open until 2:00. Everything here is like that (you'll notice that a number of streets also have the same name, or magically change names at certain points).
Go Silver Line (it's a bus...) to Red Line (South Station), and take that to Park Street and get on the Green Line. Take Green line (B, C, and A, but NOT E) to get to Kenmore Station.
so South Station (Red line) -> Park Station (Green line, B, C, D) and get off @ Kenmore. Easy! They have signs helping you out because Fenway park is at Kenmore. It's not at the Fenway stop, don't go there.
I don't like the silver line. It's new and it's a bus. It's only a one mile walk from South Station to the BCEC anyways.
If you want to go pub crawling, best place is North End. So get back on the Green line and head to Haymarket. North End is across the street.
:P
T is easiest way to get almost anywhere in Boston (outside of walking) too. Day pass is $11 (rip off!) weekly pass is $18. If you want to pay the fare separately, the machines charge you $2.50 a ride, but if you talk to a MBTA guy and get a charlie card (there's usually extras on top of the machines too) it's only $2.00 a ride and it gives you a free transfer. So get a charlie card.
edit: the weekly passes can't go on a charlie card, they print you a ticket. Charlie card only gets a monthly pass or individual fare. See how we do things here? :D |

Almost forgot. When heading inbound on the Green Line, if you get a train heading to Government Center, you'll have to get off there, walk down a few feet and then get on another train going to Lechmere. You can also just get on a train going to Lechmere.
edit: here's a map and link to the T

Maybe if you didn't buy it from IKEA it'd still be around.

Ok... so usually the general rule in Boston is no Sneakers. Jillian's apparently has a "no boots rule". I go up, with a nice jacket, nice ironed collard shirt, and nice ironed khaki pants w/a crease. I had nice boots on too. -__-
Anyways, there was a kid who was trying to get in with only a college ID, so the guy @ the front told me the manager was coming if I wanted to wait. I said fine. The manager comes, tells the other guy that he can't use his college ID to get in. Then he asked me if I had no ID too. I did and showed it to him and he let me in. Kind of weird that I got stopped in the first place -.- At least the kid @ the front who stopped me said he was new and only had been working there for a few days.
After getting in, I looked around for CCP. Could not find. Asked a guy there, and apparently CCP is there tomorrow (lol reading dates ftl).
Dress Code
Enforced after 8 PM
Gentlemen are required to remove their hats or headgear after 8:00 pm No athletic wear, sweats or wind pants No sleeveless tGÇôshirts No construction, work or Timberland style boots
Jillian's has changed. Now there's a few game machines on the outside of the room. It used to be filled with games, and had awesome Virtual Reality machines. It used to be the kind of place where you were overdressed if you were wearing clean clothes...
I did get a nice "GO BRUINS" stamp on my hand for the "Yes, I'm 21" thing. I got a drink before I left too. I asked the guy what was on tap. He said, "Bud light... Miller light... Coors light; // facepalm"
I should have asked if he had something nice like Guinness on tap @.@ Sam Addams' is pretty good in Boston too (they outsource to regional breweries, so if it is bad in another part of the country, it can taste very different here.)
There are some sweet craft beer places around if you're looking for the really good stuff too. |

btw CCP Eterne, I do see the crashed Titan, and it is *awesome*. I guess I just didn't know what it was, and I might have gamer's syndrome lol. |

^______^ Thanks!
I'm sure there will be many more in the future. I heard PAX East went well. There are definitely more FPS console gamers who are looking for a great FPS game. I guess this is feedback, but imo many console gamers are tired of CoD XIII, BF VII, etc, etc. Dust seems well positioned to get more of us playing! |
