For those of you who are planning on running for CSM 8, check this out.
For those of you who want to be informed on how you're going to elect your particular representative, this is a good thing to understand early on.
For those of you who are like me and don't have a representative, because everyone who ever makes CSM is only interested in what their corporation/alliance has to say, just ignore it. |

[EDIT] Yep - it's the make it harder for Goons voting system.
It's whatever. The only candidates that ever make it into the CSM are bitter null-sec veterans who want nothing more than null-sec sovereignty fixes.
The entire game (Eve Online) needs a MASSIVE economic overhaul that interconnects everything.
They mentioned once that Faction Warfare would affect High Sec via taxation - if your particular faction is losing it would affect taxes drastically in your faction's high sec. This would encourage movement of players (and thereby lessening stagnation) and if not movement it would be a bigger isk sink as there is simply -far too much isk- in New Eden right now. |

Mixed bag or not, the current CSM Representatives simply -will not acknowledge your concerns- unless you're already in bed with them and their particular affiliations. They simply do not care about any concern of yours, whether or not it coincides with their interests.
I absolutely regret who I voted for and I will surely not vote for them again as they are a silver tongued son of a ***** who acts like every real-life politician there can possibly be, telling you everything you want to hear to get your vote and then when they have the position they do absolutely nothing with it besides watch.
Run on sentence aside, there hasn't been a single member of the CSM who has engaged in hearing the issues that I (and my affiliates) have brought up - outright ignoring the messages and attempts to gain their audience.
If a member of this community (the Dust 514 community) wants to be part of the CSM they're going to have to do -better- than what we currently have, and as many potential candidates as there are (Black_Jackal, Jenza Aranda, Zion Shad) they're all saying the same exact thing: "I'm going to listen and represent the community"
HOWEVER, it's just rhetoric. None of them has any proof to back up their claims and as far as I'm concerned they're just as bad as the current CSM. IF my vote went to anyone it would be Jenza simply because she's both a Duster and a Capsuleer - with sufficient enough experience in both. I'm sure there's going to be some red tampons responding to that claim saying, "I'm a capsuleer too!" but honestly it's not going to sway my opinion.
This doesn't change the fact that the CSM Representive, whoever they may be, has to listen outside of their corporation/alliance/coalition; otherwise they're just adding to the problem. |
