whoah dude, felling your pain. Makes me think i'm probably lucky coz i dont have that much problem.
- Some times my gun won't reload, I have to pull out my sidearm or toss a nade then switch back to my gun before being able to reload again. =>That one is indeed a shocker. Sometimes it doesnt want to reload, sometimes it just doesnt fire... Always nice against a heavy. Must have happened to me 10 times or so
- Some times I can't ADS, it will bring up the menu instead and I have to go get the big map up for it to go away. => This one must have happened to me maybe half a dozen time. And it's a pretty recent bug. But agreed it's shocking to have that kind of issues.
- Some times my nanohive just dissapears and I lose one. => Lost 2 in a row yesterday... boring
- Some times my nades simply won't explode. => That one is a real pain as it's a very common bug. How many HAVs ran away from me du to nades not working, how many rush of 2-3 players werent sanctionned by my cooked nade coz it simply didnt blow up...
- I keep freezing out of games, I restart the game 5-10 times during a normal 5-6 hours of play. => On that one, i dont have as many problems. I tend not to freeze anymore since Chromosome. And i can play 4-5 hours with "only" having to restart once. The main issue i'm having is with the vocal system that tends to go all wonky and then just disconnects you from the game. That and the occasional never ending loading screen.
- The game gets more and more unplayable until I decide its time to reinstall it again.... [....] => Tbh, i never reinstalled the game since first build of the closed beta And never felt an absolute need to even i considered it. Maybe i should try it
Overall, i'm here for the end game. The potential behind Dust is huge if CCP manages to achieve its goal in terms of persistence. I hear about games like destiny or PS2 and their persistence. PS2's persistence is imo, completely bogus... The point of conquest is nothing more but glorified MAG contracts (own that part of continent, get 10% more $ that in the end have no purpose etc..) And if we dont know much about Destiny, i find hard to believe they can reach something as strong as thousands of planets, an almost IRL economics, and global fights over an entire galaxy of players with just one title.
Also, not any really decent multiplayer FPS on PS3 at the moment. So yeah Dust has many flaws, but nothing that cannot be handle. Real problem with Videogames nowadays, and especially online shooters, is the lack of ambition, of immersion. So i'll always back up a dev that wants to go into new territory.
Finally, people trash talk about Dust a lot. But the main 95% of the players who tried it never played corp games like the ones i had the chance to do. WTFR vs SYN or PXPRXO or IMPSWARS, SI, GAC, KEQ, RND, OTB, LOTIS, HELLSTORM were absolutely crazy ass games when not bothered by extreme lag. The feeling that your game plan, organization, choices matters A LOT in the outcome of the fight has never been as obvious in any other game. Here you have actual tactic. A real feeling of planned war.
And those fights are just 8vs8. I can't wait to battle against those same corps in 24vs24 games. Hell the ballet of HAVs, Dropships, lasers flying around, battling for a location that in the eye of a newcomer would be of no interest will be even bigger, even better.
Ok i got carried away so i'll just stop
CCP, FIX THOSE DAMN TECHNICAL ISSUE. DONT LET PROGRAMMING 101 RUIN WHAT COULD BE THE BEST CONCEPT OF THE DECADE FOR AN ONLINE FPS. or i'll burn down the harpa center |
