Im confused.
While I appreciate your posting, its really great to have a Developer actually come in and talk to us. I wonder if you can help me answer a question. Why do we have two community managers, whoes extent of thier interaction seems to be posting rote announcements and making 0-8 twitter remarks a day?
I mean, isn't the definition of a "community manager" someone who manages the community, including you know (crazy idea incoming) talking regulary with the majority of the community through Dust 514s own forums. Twitters nice but I think they should move away from that and start talking to people on the forums. Because its comes across as elitist.
Also why is the interaction with the Dust team about 85% less than interaction with devs on the eve online forum. Im not saying this to be a cynical troll, Im saying this because the lack of interaction with the community is becoming more painfully obvious with every passing day. We have two community managers whoes interactions with the community at large is worryingly minimal (IRC doesn't count) and the slack is been taken up by a fiction writing dev, props to you sir, mad props. |

Time to talk about what people are playing dust for : persistence, conquest, corporations,
Thats another thing thats wierd, consistantly, high tier devs promise devs blogs and they never arrive when they're supposed to. I mean how difficult is it to post a dev blog? I get the whole spell check, review procedures that have to exist to make sure everyone is on the same page, but ccp internal magazine is published more regularly than a Dust dev blog . Its really not good enough guys. Are the webpages made of Zydrine II that can only be mined in a stargateless system in the Black rise? |

Yeah, i can dig up 2 maybe 3 videos from September, December, and then last cast 514 where you can pretty much hear "Hey no worries, devblogs every week now guys, woot woot !" And then, jack....
Its hard to see through the great "forum wall", Im sure there are lots of productive "lets get communication sorted guys" meetings in Dust HQ. Without communication players make up thier own minds about whats going on. I personally, am starting to think the DUST team arn't taking communication with the player base seriously. Or at least the lessons the eve team has learned about communication hasn't been taken on board by thier collegues. At least thats how it appears. |

We are aware of the disparity in the amount of dev blogs, forum posts, and other interaction in comparison to the EVE Online devs. Let me assure you we are working to get you guys more of those things and we understand there has been a lack of it recently. There are some hurdles to overcome on our end in making this happen but we're actively discussing them.
I think the community will genuinely appreciate it. Thanks for posting again. |

Communication from the devs. |
