Depending on your main weapon, heavy or otherwise, a secondary may range from extremely situational to nearly useless. That being said, it would be great to have the option to replace the sidearm with something you might deem more useful. Perhaps an ammo or grenade belt for additional main weapon ammunition, or niche things like active shield hardeners, perhaps a physical shield or additional armor plating to increase survivability at the expense of a weapon.
Ultimately if your weapon is highly versatile or your forced into a niche by using it where the secondary can't be used effectively, why not give us other options?
Secondly, an equip slot for the heavy. Come on now, would it kill you to add one? |

Just because you do not fill a slot, it does not mean you wasted it.
Actually the '0 ISK militia empty slot item' is very powerful, you save PG/CPU and ISK with.
Seeing a full Squad of heavies carrying injectors, repair kits, nano hives and drop uplinks does not seem to fit the idea of ROLE playing.
But maybe you allow me to use the 4 equiments slots for my logi suit on more weapons, grenades and modules aswell. Spamming Flux and AVs 'nades at tanks, plus having a FG and a SL does not sound too shabby. |

Giving heavies and equipment slot is the equivalent of giving them a full time logi rep...
The armor repping nanohives alone would make heavies obscenely powerful drop two of the proto armor only hives and you pretty much have an immobile bastion of death... sure they would run out... eventually but the protos can repair A LOT of armor especially the dedicated rep ones.
If you think this wont be abused... you are either unimaginably positive or unbelievably naive.
Heavies are already crazy mad powerful when not the player is worth his water. giving them the ability to drop their own portable logi is a bad bad bad idea. |

You can have an equipment slot when my Logi can carry a heavy weapon. |

an equipment slot is not a buff ?
Okay, so a heavy bathing in its own repair armor nanohive wouldnt be a massive buff... Or worse, a heavy repairing a heavy then repaired by the other heavy |

I was researching as to what I would need for my Heavy to equip nanohive injectors. After reading this post I got my answer. LOL |

The only thing heavies need is another low slot on the prototype suit. 3/2 slots when every one else has at least 4/3 is just ridiculous. Maybe add in some more CPU/PG since even scout suits outclass it. |
