So I did a few quick searches and didn't find anything relating to my specific issue. Mostly just people complaining about SP caps and the GEK. Moving right along. . .
So, I'm starting to notice something.. off. I have this way of skilling up a new character that, admittedly, takes some time, but has a better payoff, in my opinion. I upgrade my core skills up to level 3, each. The core skills, to me, are the ones that increase your CPU, PG, armor and shields by 5% per level. With the shields, and apparently a few other skills, I've noticed that, as oppose to a 5% increase, it's actually a 5% decrease.
Ladies and gentlemen, I'm no mathematician, and number crunching on values that get into the thousands is pretty time consuming for me, but I swear to you, my shields have gotten weaker and weaker. On that note, I've noticed a slight increase in kick on my assault rifle and SMG. Furthermore, I also feel like my shields take longer and longer to regenerate. I should have a 12% bonus to shield regeneration at this point, however, it just seems like it takes more time to recharge, and more time between charges once they've taken a few hits.
Can anyone either confirm this or help me? If this is the case, I seriously won't be investing anymore SP into anything for fear of nerfing my already poor playing.
I could ALMOST stand by the weapon skills doing something like this, because if the different tiers are going to be so much more powerful, then they should come at a price. A G3 series battle rifle doesn't fire like an M16 series assault rifle, and for good reason. |

When you will ready for include 2-3 shield modules with +66 hp to shield you will feel difference.
At start, when you operate low level of modules - difference almost not exist. So it is why you dont feel it.
Just learn how to play, how strafe, how to choose position, how to use funk-holes, hideouts (i hope i choosed correct words, sorry for my english). |

Don't forget that different Suits have significantly different regen and restart times for shields. Heavies require a long, long time to restart shield recovery. And small shields can recover quickly. Just notice the recovery time on a Scout Suit and its tiny shield.
Also, constantly not understood here in the Forums, is the fact that Armor repair increase of 15% is barely noticeable in a drop suit. However, reading the description explains that it works in vehicles as well. 15% of three hundred plus is a significant number.
All weapons recoil to some extent and some do more than others. However, switch to sights with L1 will make it worse if one does not Stop Firing before using Sights. Most of those complaining are using the Assault Rifle.
HMGs reduce heat, Laser rifles do as well (IIFC) so the mods do adjust different values and are reducing the worst problem with the weapon. Reduced charge time in a Forge Gun is noticeable (to me) as is the Lock On Time for Swarms.
If you really don't believe that things are increasing try this simple test. Start an alt and time hacking a Letter Objective. Now only put SP into System Hacking. Then test again. The difference is noticeable and hacking modules can be safely ignored when the Skill is maxed, in my opinion. Switching between my chars with one not doing System Hacking while this one has some I cringe the first several hacks. Man, that is slow.
If your concerns persist try a similar test with the alt or a different one focused on what your concern is. With data you should either reassure yourself of convince the Devs that something is indeed wrong. |

So I was talking about with with some of my corp mates and we decided that the best idea is to save up points and level up Shield Operation one more time, and record the results. I'll record the stats of a fresh, naked dropsuit, then upgrade the skill and go back into the fittings and see if there's a difference how I feel there is.
That being said, most of them either confirm or agree that there is some kind of bug affecting the values of some skill passives |

i was leveling my "core guns" hue hue hue
*edit* but he could have a potential problem ive seen people who say there shields and ar kick have been increase/decrease improperly |
