Had a few minutes spare, so I got started on this project.
Currently only dropsuits on the market are added. Thread will be updated rather a lot, hopefully to take into account all game items and calculators to work out how they interact. Also useful for things like finding out how much ISK AUR is worth by comparing all equivalent items.
Just this for now, though, so interested parties can start calculating things themselves or checking my data.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0AkEuRSoYcQ5tdHRNX2U0RHRCa05yMFFnOE5BbndBMFE&output=html (Lol, for some reason Scout B-Series can deal twice as much melee as anyone else)
This post is going to be deleted and rewritten once I've added more info. |

Careful don't reinvent the wheel. There are already a bunch of tables here and chribba will eventually probably get most of the items from the market up here |

Yeah, I did check the Collection of Known Knowledge, but didn't use it for a few reasons. At least with dropsuits, many of the values are different to what I see in the marketplace and it was more effort to update and transpose (easier to work with lists where each type of value is in a column) than to gather the data anew.
Also I needed a few values those sheets weren't tracking, so I can say how much SP will need to be spent to use a theoretical fitting, for example.
I hadn't seen chribba's list, but (quickly comparing)I have different values for Scout A's CPU than they do. Not sure if it's my data or theirs which is out, but I'm hoping to update this fairly quickly and then keep it current for the calculator's I'll run off it. Easier to do that if I'm maintaining it myself, but others with similar collections are welcome to collaborate. |

I'd like to work on something that shows the % damage modifier to shields and armor of the different weapon classes. Would you be up for helping with that? |

Sure. Not at home, so I'm not sure, but do we have that info or do we need to test it by comparing actual damage dealt? |

When you look at a target and you are inside your optimal you see a weapon efficiency stat. When the target has shield it's for their shield when shield is 0 its the weapons damage against armor. Each gun seems to have different modifiers against vehicles as well. I know my MD isn't so bad against HAVs or LAVs. |

Great. I'll definitely add a column for that to weapon stats... and partially test it myself, partially crowd-source the data. Will be looking for people to keep me updated on the stats of gear I don't/can't have, too. |

IMPORTANT: This is INSIDE your optimal range only. Most of this comes through watching youtubes of users. So I'm not looking at every gun, but I think the data is the same across all tiers of weapons. They have different modifiers for head damage too...and it isn't a consistent modifier. See snipers vs. shield-head and SMGs vs armor head.
ARs: 110% shield: 90% armor ---10% against LAV/HAV shields MDs: 70% shield: 130% armor Laser Rifle: 120% shield: 80% armor Sniper Rifle: 100% shield (195% head): 100% armor Shotguns: 110% shield: 135% armor Forge Guns: 150% shield: 100% armor ---100% against LAV shields... Nova Knives: 100% shield:100% armor HMGs: 95% shield: 110% armor SMGs: 94% shield: 109% armor (164% head damage) Scrambler Pistol: ?? Shield (Head-350%):?? Armor (Head- 450%) Lg/Sm Blasters ??:?? Lg/Sm Missiles ??:?? Lg/Sm Railguns ??:?? |

I'm holding off on updating this until I'm confident that ninja nerfs, like the one to militia vehicles, aren't going to make maintaining this list ridiculous. |

I made a couple modifications to make the fitting tab actually work. Uses data validation and some vlookups to get the actual data in from the data tabs.

Thanks. Much of this is working on my personal copy but (I must have discussed this in another thread and not added it to this one) this project has stalled until I can be confident that at the very least, values won't change overnight without some kind of notification or regular "this is the date we change market values" on system.
Vehicles and such that I had collected information on had their stats change overnight, making the effort not worth maintaining for me. |

I have expanded this, and worked on editing things in Excel.. if you would like I can send you an attachment somewhere. I have added some dropsuit modules, and added a column in the fittings tab to define equipment type... this will narrow down the second drop down to make for easier item finds...However this is not available in Google Docs...
Thank you for your wonderful data, and rest assured it is only being used by me at this moment, and I have no plans of using it else where. |

May I kindly direct you to the Dust Fitting Tool spreadsheet here https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=67188&find=unread
If you like spreadsheets, you will like the advanced section there, showing all intermediate calculations |

I am not caring for google docs when it comes to these fitting tools, because data validation will not allow true dropdowns... excel does... Although that is a really cool sheet.
Thanks. |

Thanks.
Can you please explain what you mean by "true dropdowns"? To use the Google Doc, you need to first make yourself an online copy through "File -> Make a copy". If you don't do that, you cannot use any of the dropdowns or any other fields. Also if you try to download it as in excel format, some of the lookup formulas don't get converted correctly and the resultant excel file is pretty useless.
As for the dropdowns, i have dropdowns for: - The dropsuit, looking up all dropsuits - All slots, looking up all relevant high/low/equipment modules - All weapon slots, looking up all relevant weapons - Your saved character, looking from a list of predefined and user-saved characters - Your list of saved fittings (this is already developed, and coming in the next release)
Be default, all dropdowns must be used on the "Simple Fitting Tool" sheet. This sheet will also show the final calculated values (after skills, modules, etc). However all the calculation happens on the "Advanced Fitting Tool". That advanced sheet is coded to take the values entered on the simple sheet, however if you want to use the Advanced sheet exclusively, all you need to do is to clear the existing named range reference in the green cells (for example "=SimpleDropsuit" or "=SimpleCharacter"). Once those are cleared, the green dropdowns on the Advanced sheet will be functional. Of course to get the Simple sheet to work again, you would need to put those back.
Quote:Although that is a really cool sheet. Thank you :) You should see the coming version, it's got save/load/delete buttons for managing saved fittings |
