It used to just be your squad that could spawn on the drop uplink but now its the entire team that's not in a squad. Really spices things up in ambush...

I have tested this fairly well: join in ambush, get someone to drop an uplink then keep hopping squads. It disappears as soon as you leave their squad, and reappears when you rejoin.

Nope - anyone in the past could spawn - I used to have randoms spawn on normal DL's all the time about 2 builds ago. This was changed, and it is annoying.

But then again, we were always in default squads. P.S. I recall in a previous discussion, the consensus was that in Ambush the whole team could spawn on them but in Skirmish it was squad-restricted. This is interesting - we might finally figure out how uplinks work.

I mean If I put one down where I dont want blueberry snipers spawning I could use a squad, but if I want to have my whole team push a point then I would use the team. That said this would explain why those stupid BB would never use my drop uplinks.

When I dropped squad the squad uplinks disappeared off my map but were still physically there on the ground. They were no longer availiable as spawn locations for me. When I put down the new uplinks in the same location, the old ones disappeared. On these new ones i got team spawns. Need to perform the same test in ambush now. Anybody done this already? I hate ambush =p
