You should be able to spend $$ to retrain your skills.
I didn't appreciate how much of an advantage you get using both boosters, as it puts you roughly twice as far ahead of someone without them. Realizing this, I see that my more spread out approach to skilling is going to get me slaughtered in the not so distant future.
As people with boosters start pushing further and further ahead in the current matchmaking system, it's going to become increasingly more difficult to get anything accomplished, as all my fittings will be significantly weaker. Playing varied roles is going to get my ass handed to me, and it sucks because I didn't quite appreciate the full affect $$ would have.
I love having many playstyles, I just didn't realize I'd be punished as much as I will be, and it would be nice to spend some $$ to just spec into one thing and only that one thing, so I can compete as time goes on. |

Im pretty sure if you run both boosters, you have exactly 50% more SP than without. Don't know about this twice as much.

In EVE there is the one freebie neural remap and then you get to do it once a year going forward...it wouldn't be bad to see something like that in DUST...obviously the technology exist within New Eden... |

Do what makes the game fun for you. Personally i'm a jack of all trades because I like to switch things up to keep the game fresh. At the end of the day you can only specialize so far and those measly percent boosts you get will only take you just as far. This is still an FPS. Skill trumps all. Don't panic, stay calm and have fun. |

If you're that concerned about it, start focusing on a single role and HTFU.
Once you're proficient in one area you can branch out.
And SP boosters only accrue points with a 50% bonus, not 100%. |

Well I've mostly hit my cap, and been playing since 2 weeks before Open Beta (I think I may have missed about a week, maybe a week and a half of SP all together), and I'm sitting on 2 million SP, while many running boosters are between 3 and 4 million right now. Also, I had a one month active booster, which I used.
I just wish I had realized earlier that I should only play one role, so that way I can keep up as time goes on. Damn wanting to be a non logistics team player >_<

It's not that I didn't spend them right, I enjoy my playstyle, it's just that I didn't realize if you don't spend actual $$ consistently, you're going to really start falling behind in terms of gear and overall stat advantages. So, spreading my SP out to have access to more playstyles is just way more punishing than I had realized.
So, a word to new players. Try to research a playstyle that might interest you, and never ever deviate from it >_< |

The remap does not give you the rights to change your skills - it lets you change the attributes effecting how quickly you learn new skills. I am opposed to remapping skills altogether - people that train something and don't need it, well that's the price for the mistake. I accept mine and see no reason to cater to people that don't research well enough before deciding what to train, or who decide they don't like this gun or that gun, or what have you. |

This is not your average fps I to soent some o oints were I shoulnt have. I understand your frustration but IMO this Is how the game is meant to be played. They're not going to hold your hand in everything you do either I dleleted Two characters because how I mispent the skills before I got used to the system and how to soend SP wisely. |

You are not falling behind it is just that some, not all mind you, some other players are getting there faster.
As soon as we get there we can only sit there and wait till you get there, we just got there faster is all.
What you are playing is not the end game and look behind you, see all those other guys that have even less than you, well they are try to catch up to you.
Now they can get there faster with boosters and pass you or just catch up to you later on.
If you choose to spread your SP love all over well of course you will fall behind from the guy that stayed focused only on his one specialized skill. |

Except for my suit, I have my SPs invested in the dropsuit and dropsuit related skill trees. I use my AUR for both A/P boosters. I also use my AUR for the AUR proto weapons. That helps me keep an edge. While I like the idea of a respection option it would just be a waste of AUR IMHO unless you are moving from infantry to vehicles. |

If they fix the matchmaking it won't matter as much, since people would be getting spit into more even games. I hold my own ok, for now, I just figure I can't be the only one who made / will make this mistake. |
