Starting from scratch, how would you build your clone? I am looking for examples Of every class. From sniper 2 medic. Where would you allocate your skill points first Etc. Have you tested any of these and how have they worked out? |

An Omni-soldier... ( I don't recommend this to any beginners ) Train everything.
Basically you start with the 'core' and 'universal' skills. These skills apply everywhere, weaponry 5, turret operator, circuitry, combat engineering, field mechanics, armor repair systems, shield boost operation, shield management, weapon upgrades ect ect. Minimally train skills to unlock gear. These skills are safe to max out for anyone just about.
From there you have to then get used to doing EVERYTHING. Find out what works well together and what does not work together, while its possible to lower the barrier entry to this by having common weapons (fit ar to everything) it only hampers and limps the build overall.
From here you start to learn the maxium advantage for every class, every gun, every module, expeirment thoery craft and more. You eventually start comming up with builds not conceived before. I mean who thinks that a shotgun heavy is something to be scared of? They are very scary I tell you in a hallway with little to no ways out of.
None the less this is by far the most skill intensive route, isks costs is also substantially high as well.
However it pays off in being flexible, and knowledgable about your enemies no matter what configuration they're in. You will never be caught with a true counter to your limited builds, and when things don't go your way you can easily adjust elsewise. Whole reason that if you do see me cry OP and I suggest nerfs they're typically 'role' based nerfs in an attempt to niche the weapon into its own speical reconizable corner. |

Very good response. I have been testing different builds with 3 different characters. Most of my testing has been with a heavy build. As of now my new testing is with a type 2 heavy. I am looking at adding a tank build with it. Not sure if the heavy would slow down the tank much but I think running this build will allow my team and I to capture objectives a little bit easier. Any suggestions? |

Depending on your gameplay style a Logi is a good starting point. From this basis you can skill into vehicles and dropships as well as being a good foundation if you want to move into a more offensive style later. The draw back of a logi is you will need to spend a lot of sp and stay focused to become really effective.
At the moment I only play in pub Ambush matches so I spend a lot of time dying but as I gain SP my k/d is improving. Now upto 0.5. But hey I am an average player playing as a lone wolf logi so that's life. Once I have a headset I hope to play in a decent squad as I have noticed that when I play with effective groups I survive much longer, with fewer deaths, more kills and way more WP.
Whatever you do make sure you choose a build that you can have fun with or what's the point. |
