Squads are made up of 4 people....
When in a squad we often call in a LAV or HAV but can only fit 3 people in....
Therefore the 4th person has to call in a second LAV, either being on their own in a vehicle or 2 per vehicle.
It would be nice to have an LAV with four seats at least. |

We're getting 6man squads soon, so the current 3 seat LAV makes sense (Two LAVs for a squad) |

*points at dropship*
Sorry did someone say 6 man squad transport, able to go in a straight line from point A to B, able to insert an entire squad behind enemy lines, fastest transportation in game, able to take a full squad to the furthest objective, hack, capture and take up defensive positions before the enemy team arrives... and it even has a CRU so you can spawn on the thing mid flight |

You forgot MAVs are an expected vehicle class. They'll likely include IFVs, APcs, and other such vehicles. |

Wouldn't surprise me at all but people seem to forget we already have a troop transport and still they keep asking for one. Having said that I don't see how much use an APC would be given that the drop ship goes faster, has a CRU and can avoid a lot of fire fights. Might just be me but I feel like adding an APC would take something away from the dropship role. |

APC may be cheaper, and require less skill. Or maybe with the introduction of AA weapon and installations you may need ground transport. but i'd definitely rather hot drop in from a dropship. |

Given the speed an APC is likely to go at, i could take off, drop off a squad at the furthest objective and be halfway back before an APC get's to the closest objective (on the current maps at least). So until we get bigger maps with more players and a dedicated AA, Dropships will remain the squad transport of choice |

Apcs will probaly if included have more armor/shields than their airborne bretheren so if you assaulting a heavily fortified position could make more sense.
Aldo once we get more planet types gas for example the drop ship will get more useful. So both have a place and a function but only time will tell. |

True. Dropships are pretty light weak right now. The only chance they stand is speeding away. a nicely tanked APC could crash any party. |
