I'd like to see an option to return vehicle. Remove the fitting from the field and put it back in your assets.
I'd like to be able to have a squad see a tank and call in two rail gun LAVs to harass it, then when its dead be able to return the vehicle. Right now if you did that you're either stuck with a vehicle useless against infantry or just abandoning it. You know, assuming that actually worked.
There would be a time required to do it, maybe increasing with vehicle mass, so its not a free easy return. It'd be vulnerable while waiting for pickup and during liftoff.
It would make specialized and risky vehicle builds and uses viable, instead of a guaranteed isk dump. |

agreed, make the rdv pickup cost something like 50k isk though, or a percentage of the total veh cost |

In a universe were bodies are disposable, I donGÇÖt think whoever is in charge of the battle field cares about recalling equipment. That being said with the 50K isk I can see it as an option. |

Second on returning vehicles. An alternative to air pick up could be simply driving into the red zone, leaving it there, and having the code remove it from play. This would also have a time-delay built-in, through the act of driving to the edge. |

I like the idea of calling in an RDV with the same delay as delivery. Anyone jumping in will cause the request to cancel. And with the same vulnerabilities on recall as it has on entry, there will still be risk. Not so much concerned with a cost as with a cool down before another RDV delivery, beyond the free default LAV, can be called in . |

Rather it takes a while to be picked up instead of costing something. Somewhere around 30 seconds to a minute. Afterwards you wouldn't be able to call in vehicles for a while or at least not the vehicle you sent back. |

Maybe have a piece of equipment necessary for this? Like you whip out your "Vehicle retrieval drone beacon" or whatever and aim it at the vehicle. Thus it costs money - but only if you die. Better ones have lower lock-on or setup times.
I'm thinking cost on par with drop uplinks.
Maybe itd create incentive for players to pilot with non-heavy drop suits. Also makes pilot builds a slightly tougher more specialized decision. With other vehicle equipment (repair tool, possible future equipment) it'd really encourage the use of logistics suits for piloting, which I think makes sense. |

Calling in vehicles is a good isk dump which is needed for a good solid economy. But I do agree about recalling.
My suggestion is that you can recall via rev but it MUST be your rev. You bought it with your own isk. If it dies you out the cost of the rdv and potentially your vehicle.
