If you are in a vehicle and swarms are an issue, you need to look at -infantry support -situational awareness -vehicle configuration -spend more money -consider retreating
Darn tootin'!
Swarms are fine. They are supposed to make vehicles go boom.
Furthermore, unlike Forge Guns, you cannot shoot infantry with them at all, no matter how good you are.
Running about in a Swarm fit is asking for trouble.
Then again, running about in a tank is asking me to kill it. |

Broken because they can do complete 180 degree turns on the spot, and that just defys absolutly everything, they are smart enough to turn comepletly 180 but not smart enough to change to a slightly higher elevation to fly over small hills and then down to a target????
they make no sence.
either they have crazy 180 degree manuverability or they dont.... not both simultaniously please. |

Why do we need guns to be MORE gimped. Having to steer your missiles is lame. We need more high tech solutions. Self guided missiles are awesome! We need more things to make us feel that this is truly a battle of super advanced cultures. I mean this technology is almost Magic! I remember there was a quote about magic and technology
Add bullets that can shoot through walls and around corners, Xray vision, cars that can self drive while we shoot. Automated defenses, Black hole grenades! Tactical nuclear missile launchers! Predator hunter sky drones, a nanite gun that allows someone to hack your brain and start murdering your teammates using your body.
Then balance all the AWESOME with powerful defensive abilities. Death should come almost instantly on the battlefield in this super technology age. Defense will never keep up with offensive power, but they should be present The weapons of this age need to be terrifying in the extreme. You need to be AFRAID to leave the MCC, that only the immortal merc would ever dare to step foot out. |

Just prevent them do 90 degree turns. Plus add some lock-on time. Hate peek-a-boo swarms that are coming under a damn rock. |

I've got nothing of substance to note, but I will say that I wish I had all the SP back from going L4 in swarms.
I think they suck. LAVs are the only thing I can kill with regularity. Dropshits with an afterburner can outrun them. I can never lock on when it's the last blow to a tank until they are behind cover.
Nothing makes me rage like swarms vs tanks. I am sitting here at work f'ing off instead of actually working and I'm getting pissed thinking about tanks and my POS swarm launcher (L4 with 3 complex damage modifiers).
As far as the dropship deal goes, I don't understand why anyone would fly them. It's as though they are made of paper mache.

Its not that AV is weak or over powered. You have to pick the right target for the AV you have, so Swarms and AV grenades are for armor vehicles and forge guns and Flux grenades are for shield vehicles. Learn what your weapon is good at killing and switch been them as you need to. |

I have no real problems with swarms as they are other than they can do impossible turns. When flying my dropship I will see swarms arcing towards me at say 60 degree angles then suddenly do pinpoint 140 degree turns when I exceed their turn radius, thus short of completely outrunning them they are impossible to avoid. |

I've seen Swarms miss a Dropship flying overhead and have to turn slowly around to follow and give the Dropship a huge lead before following from a LOOONG distance behind.
I've also seen swarms pull sharp 90+ turns in almost identical situations, so I don't know which is meant to happen. It looks more RIGHT when they have a limit to how sharply they turn, though, so I hope that's what's meant to happen and it's going to be fixed.
But in saying that, when they're turning slow, I think they could do with being slightly less slow at turning. |

i rather like the idea of that, as long as its not infinite flight time like the HL2/Counter Strike Scource rockets, cause those you could do ******** things with those. because i rather like the idea of using a system like those, but it would take a fair bit of fine tuning

My vantage was from a sniper perk. Said ship lazily took the first three, then started to fly away to his red zone. All hit. Came back less than two minutes later with full armor and most of his shields.
Survivability is relative. It's getting easier in this game to tell when someone has the skill points and isk sunk into a vehicle. |
