I made a drop suit fitting using a militia suit and equipped the items. When I died the aurum purchased items were lost. Is this normal for I thought the aurum items were blueprint orginals and had unlimited uses. I am planning to buy a sever logistics suit and equip such items. If i had the sever suit and died would all the items in the suit still be saved ? Just trying to figure out the basic fitting for dust. Thank you in advance for any explanations.
Some of the Aurum items are blueprints, while others are lost when you die. The thumbnails for blueprint items are highlighted in blue. Most of the Aurum items are not blueprints. There are militia blueprints which are specifically labelled as such.
The Sever Logi suit is a blueprint. If you died while wearing it, only the blueprint items you were using would be saved. For example, if you had a Sever suit with a Killswitch GEK and you died in it, you would lose the Killswitch and keep the Sever suit (needing to restock the GEK before using the fitting).

I'd suggest making a couple of Sever suit fittings, one full of militia gear and another with the best you can use. I suggest a costly fitting because running militia fittings doesn't give much incentive to skill up into the equipment and modules you're running militia equivalents of.
Also, if you're using the Sever suit to run a medic, my experience is that running more expensive medic fittings leads to much more ISK/WP, simply because your survivability and that of your team increases. Keeps you on your toes, too. If you don't care about kills/death, a free suit can lead to carelessness.
My preference is to run expensive suits as default, then if I'm doing really badly and lose a couple of suits, not being defended by my team, or otherwise decide that the match isn't worth the investment, start running free suits so the match remains profitable. Usually I only lose a suit or two and my team-mates come back to life with 80% health and get repaired while resupplying ammo which is a significant advantage. |
