Speaking from personal experience, 1 on 1 with a Duvolle while using a GEK is a lose. Regardless if I have damage mods or shield extenders. My bro has 10.0 kdr, he says duvolle is trash to the gek and was not worth the SP investment, let alone the monies. KDR is usless and pointless in this game. Give me his warpoints or the like. Then we'll see his skill level.
Warpoints are just as pointless.
The only things that matter are resources and influence.
Eventually... anyway. Until then, we're all just practicing. |

What's the point of getting higher than the GEK? All you have to do is pound on complex modifiers. |

You're oversimplifying that. Too many factors are affecting to claim that duvolle always wins over GEK, even tho it's a better rifle
note: and that's assuming the duvolle user hasn't made any sacrifices in fitting. |

Unless you have the right suit and SP in the right spots, don't bother with the Duv yet. The extra PG/CPU cost per performance over a Gek really isn't worth it until you get a Type A/B or Vk's.

i wouldn't say the duvolle is bad so much as, who has a suit to PROPERLY fit it? it's a prototype weapon with prototype fitting requirements, i've yet to see a prototype suit? (or even a type-B)
so why gimp yourself via rifle to get an extra 5% dps, when you could just use a damage mod? for example: one advanced damage mod and one complex shield extender, with a gek, is the same damage and more shields than a duvolle forcing you to use 2 basic shield extenders because of it's high CPU/PG cost.
remember, it's never about any 1 thing on the fit, it's about the fit as a whole. |

well there's always gonna be outliers.
i'm around 3.5 million SP and i've only missed a few days worth of "cap." (unless you count that one night where you could get a weeks worth, i missed most of that too.)
so given that you're looking at around 4 million? just to don a prototype suit, i'd say it's a fair statement that these higher end suits are still pretty rare.
but that's all really beside my point anyway. i'm just saying the duvolle doesn't necessarily have to suck, it just might not be worth it's CPU/PG, especially where most people have suits with lesser CPU/PG to start with. |

the breach rifles were nerfed into the ground before the E3 build released, but back then it was the only AR to use. the slower fire rate isn't the problem but the low ammo in a clip. |

Hmmm..... I find that I do A LOT better with the GK-13 Burst AR than the GEK. That's only because I find myself shooting at range like a sniper rather than engage in CQC. The Burst variant is nothing to laugh at when you have good marksmanship. Also, it helps me conserve bullets rather than hold the trigger and spray bullets everywhere with the GEK. |

People actually prefer the GEK over the Duvolle? Duvolle reigned supreme before the stupid flattening nerf. But even now, i'd rather have that duvolle than a GEK any day. |

How do I justify the extra money and SP for state comparisons like this:
Militia Assault Rifle Damage: 31.0 HP Rate of Fire 750.0 Accuracy Rating: 56.0 Clip Size: 48 Max. Ammo: 300 Reload Time: 3.51 s Base Price:690 ISK
GEK-38 Assault Rifle Damage: 32.5 HP Rate of Fire 750.0 Accuracy Rating: 56.6 Clip Size: 60 Max. Ammo: 300 Reload Time: 3.0 s Base Price: 17,640 ISK
Duvolle Assault Rifle Damage: 34.1 HP Rate of Fire 750.0 Accuracy Rating: 57.2 Clip Size: 60 Max. Ammo: 300 Reload Time: 3.0 s Base Price: 53,640 ISK
I pulled the data from the Wiki. I'm not sure if it is accurate after the patch. |
