Been here sinse closed Beta and read tons of threads about joining corps or teaming up in public games. So I started a Corp, and got my son in to it. We went out to battle together, me as heavy and he as logic. Got the headset right with mic on.
And you have all been right every time,,,; joining/ teaming in battle is the way to do this game! We fought well. We helped each other out. He hacked and I supported him with my HMG.
I mean, by all means, we are not pro-¦s, but we did it good. I think we managed to end up 4th and 5th in a very tight match.
So to all you out there; team up with a friend and put a headset on, beacause this the way to play this game.
Thanks and see you in the battlefield, friends. |

Agreed, a good/fun squad makes a big difference.
Although I can't but help enjoy the hell out of solo play too. |

I enjoy my solo play(way to much alpha in me with no desire to lead) but having a good squad defiantly amplifies what I can do ten fold. |

Really? This was actually the first time we teamed up and tried out the game together at the same time. Hope you think we did som good, when you noticed us..?
We ran between A and B to hack and defend. It was a really good game. C was impossible to reach..hehe. They defended that really well.
I will keep my eyes open and support you if I see you in the same team. If you are on the other side, I must make you eat my bullets.. |

This is why finding a corp you like rolling with is so important. Not only do I do much better KDR wise, but I have a mess load of fun. To much fun. I don't get enough sleep now. |

They'll all realise eventually but atm most are just concerned about getting their SP and kitting out what they most want before applying for a decent corp. |

A heartwarming story of father and son playing together... Even if it's playing a game where you slaughter and vaporize people 22,000 years in the future.
I think that's even cooler than the teamwork element but yeah, working together with teammates actually works. |

My hats off to you sir! I only hope my daughter takes an interest in FPS when she gets older so we can do the same! Family video game teams FTW! |

Finding the right corp where you fit in is key. They are not all created equal. Some of the big name corps would really help themselves out if they had some dedicated dudes that take out newbros and train them instead of LFS'ing new guys and then whoring WPs and giving random advice about specializing.
I'm not bitter, why do you ask? |

and to think, you are operating at 50% efficiency, being that you only have half a squad. |

Thanx guys, this warms my heart even more. It-¦s actually the big thing, we don-¦t have to win or do good in matches. Only to do things together at equal level. My son (16) is in the game actually much more experienced and a better shooter than me (42). I on the other hand have slightly more patience and tactics in mind, when my eyes doesn-¦t follow the dots as quick as my teenaged sons eagleeyes. We have played BF3 since its beginning in the same clan, and it-¦s almost scary how good he is, and other youngsters with their reactions...
More often I hear, and maybe some of you older guys can relate to the following:
"watch out, dad..! you have a red dot just behind you, look at the radar." "Oh ****... thx my son.. Hmmm please revive me"
