Never climb ladders in this game, you have to press and hold a button to do it, and then it takes forever to actually climb, i make up it 10% of the ladders i climb alive....
PLEASE FIX THIS PROBLEM |

I don't think I've ever had to press and hold the button. Just press it.
Also, if you're climbing a ladder and I shoot you in the neck with a sniper rifle... don't keep climbing... I have more bullets. |

I think I've only been shot off of a ladder once, and I mostly play a sniper so I climb a lot of them. But ya, it would be nice if my character didn't look at all ladders like a moron for like 15 seconds before he remembered what they are used for. But this is just one of many posts I've read concerning this problem. |

clear the area make sure your climbing a ladder only if your team is round or if your not in range and line of sight of a sniper. You wouldn't climb a ladder in real life if you knew you could be shot could you it comes down to a certain player experience to avoid and do these things right.
Fix:*
implement sprint climbing player uses stamina to climb ladders faster
player can turn and shoot from ladder although accurasy would be dumbed |

I agree with some of the other posters. Make sure nobody will shoot you before you climb a ladder. |

The only real problem with climbing is snipers, you can see around you well enough usually, to avoid any close quarters back shooting. But idea for sprinting up, and using stamina, is good. |

Solution : Stop sniping, get a real gun, and join all the other "Team players" in the battle. |

i climb to get to the snipers too lol. and my Geodon assault rifle shoots almost as far as one, if i single fire it, and the wind is good. lol |

Another tip that might help you with the ladders: You can jump off. The USE key, and the JUMP key together will kick you off the ladder. Put that together with all the other advice you've gotten, and things should improve. I do agree that the walking over to the ladder, and spending 10-15 seconds just trying to get on is a bit annoying... |

have someone covering you clear the area if you cant have cover i wont climb a ladder solo bad idea if a sniper shoots you and ....depening on what they are using and what u r using you should have enough health left to drop off the ladder and run lol |

Anyone else think we should be able to buy a skill upgrade for it, so snipers have to pay to be fast up a ladder?

please do so unless your running 40 /50 /60 0 every game u snipe your wasting your time (i love it when sniper crouch n shoot at my tank scofff blueberries )

Gee who would have thought turning your back to all the enemies on the map and dragging a heavy armored suit plus weapons and ammo up a ladder might hamper your ability to fight said enemies, with the long term trade off being a grossly superior fighting position and vantage point.
Its a team game, get someone to cover you.
If you don't have anyone to cover you you better have profile dampeners.
If you have neither of those and cant read a battlefield to decide a good time to climb the ladder expect to get a butt full of lead and deserve it. |

It would be nice though if there was a way to quickly release from the ladder. It's annoying to be half way up a ladder, then you start getting shot by an AR and there's nothing you can do to save yourself. Better yet than a release button, a 'slide down ladder' button would be really cool, and make ladders feel like less of a death trap. |

Yeah, you only have to tap the button once. You also don't want to be climbing ladders with a high scan-profile suit, because you'll stick out like a sore thumb. |
